"There were so many times law enforcement missed it. Nobody said anything, and it was right there in plain sight." Karla Solomon was a victim of human trafficking in Texas. As her trafficker moved her throughout the state and across the American heartland, the signs were missed again and again. Then one trauma-informed interaction with Texas DPS changed everything. Today, HTI is partnering with Karla as a consultant to train the officers and prosecutors who will notice next time, so more victims are identified, more cases are built, and more traffickers are stopped for good. Imagine a world where traffickers face real consequences, and survivors find real freedom. That's the world we're building, with partners like you. At HTI, we work at the root of the crisis by building justice systems strong enough to hold traffickers accountable. We come alongside local prosecutors, investigators, and government leaders, equipping them with the training, tools, and case support to dismantle trafficking within their own communities. Partners like you have helped drive a 14x increase in trafficking prosecutions in Uganda since 2019. That proven model is now taking root in Kenya and Texas. Every number represents a life reclaimed and a community made safer. The work isn't finished, and scaling what's working takes a community of justice partners committed to seeing it through. Join us as a justice partner. Give today or learn more: https://lnkd.in/eZ2-EP5M #EndTrafficking #HTIImpact

We're grateful our Kenya Country Director, Michelle Prince, was able to join this powerful screening hosted by WakiliWaWatoto.KUSOL, Africa Uncensored, and Awareness Against Human Trafficking (HAART Kenya). Conversations like these reflect exactly why HTI works in Kenya: partnering with police, prosecutors, and the communities closest to the problem to stop traffickers and protect children. #EndHumanTrafficking
We had an amazing documentary screening hosted by WakiliWaWatoto.KUSOL in partnership with Africa Uncensored and Awareness Against Human Trafficking (HAART Kenya). The screening was based on two stories; 1. Stolen steps A hospital visit that went tragically sideways for baby Angel. This story is so crucial because it highlights negligence in the medical field. 2. Vanishing kids of Mukuru. What exactly happens when children mysteriously vanish? And where do they go??A tragic story that highlights the realities of child trafficking especially in Kenya. With rampant cases of child trafficking existing such conservations are necessary. A call for more public awareness campaigns on human trafficking. We had amazing interactive sessions with incredible speakers; Michelle Prince ,Winnie Mutevu ,Zahira Ninah & the amazing journalists and producers from Africa Uncensored highlighting their journey and challenges they face when they tell these stories and fight such issues. Be your neighbour's keeper and hopefully every child will get back home safe and sound. A day was had.💃🥳💃🥳 An informed girl.📝 #humantrafficking #childrenrightsandprotection #necessaryconversations

By training prosecutors and police, strengthening cases, and equipping justice systems to protect children long after April ends. Join the fight: https://lnkd.in/dv22KMWG #ChildAbusePreventionMonth #EndTrafficking

Five days. Five cities. One mission. Last week, HTI partnered with the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) to train law enforcement, prosecutors, and first responders across the Commonwealth – from Arlington to Hampton Roads. Participants left equipped to identify victims, navigate Virginia’s trafficking statutes, and build the kind of cases that hold traffickers accountable. #HTIImpact #EndTrafficking

Following a recent HTI training on human trafficking, a Patrol Officer with the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office shared: “I can definitely and infinitively say that with a better understanding of trafficking, I feel more confident clocking into work, beginning my shift, and knowing that I know better so I can do better.” Equipping law enforcement with practical tools and actionable intelligence strengthens case identification and supports successful prosecution. Prepared officers make safer communities possible. Learn more about HTI and our work to decimate trafficking: https://lnkd.in/dyrBRt_m
