Midi Health saw red flags about the estrogen patch shortage before anyone else thanks to our vocal patients and their close communication with our clinicians. We reached out to the FDA to paint patients' struggles in greater detail and reinforce the implications of this current public health crisis. 🤫 Baby Boomers barely spoke about menopause. 😯 Many in Gen-X only learned about perimenopause when they found out they were misdiagnosed with depression, anxiety, or ADHD. 🧐 Millennials are recognizing perimenopause as it's happening—and are looking at personalized plans and telehealth solutions to help them navigate it. These points from Laura Trujillo's recent USA TODAY article should stand out to anyone shaping health plans and benefits. Millennials are the largest generation in the workforce today. These women are more informed about this phase of life than those who came before them. And like Rebecca, a Midi patient featured in the piece, they're not taking "it's just normal" as an answer when seeking help for their symptoms. 👉 Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/e7uq_Y4V 💡 If Midi is recognized as in-network under your employer health plan, your employees already have access to covered visits with our menopause specialists. Nearly half of women are more concerned about affording health care than they are about developing cancer, Alzheimer's disease, or heart disease—the number one killer of women. This finding, from a new national survey from Cleveland Clinic's Women's Comprehensive Health and Research Center, should startle everyone. The right care can help patients better understand their health risks and how best to manage them, but that means nothing if women can't clear financial hurdles to get it. We're proud to say that close to 90% of our patients utilize their in-network health benefit to cover their Midi visits, meaning they pay the cost-sharing commitment under their plan—that's it. That's not an accident. It's the result of our day-one commitment to making our care more affordable for millions of women.

More than half of women don't visit their gynecologist for an annual well exam and 40% say gynecologic care isn't necessary, according to Cleveland Clinic's 2026 State of Women's Health Report. That means many things, including that they very likely are not being screened for cervical cancer. The average age of diagnosis is 50. Older women are still at risk, but many don’t realize it. Disruptive symptoms of menopause are a great motivator for women to engage with a clinician. At Midi Health, we know that the virtual visits we have with patients seeking relief are also prime opportunities to review their screening history and encourage them to keep up with vital in-person care. And we do—every day.
