You know about SPF, but today on Earth Day, it’s time to make room for RPF. Reef Protection Factor is the new sunscreen certification making waves to protect coral reefs. RPF was developed by McCann Worldgroup and our partners at University of Derby as a new standard for reef-safe sunscreens. With “reef-safe” sunscreen claims still largely unregulated, this new certification is helping to set an industry standard and help protect reefs from harmful chemicals that can bleach and kill coral.
