This Wednesday, we’re hosting a virtual roundtable with Arno van Schaik from Varbergs Precision AB to take a closer look at how they’re applying additive in real production environments. Using real parts as the starting point, we’ll explore where additive fits and how it integrates alongside traditional processes. Join the discussion here 👉 https://lnkd.in/eHKZ4qw3

About us
At Markforged, we are on a mission to unlock the next 10x innovation in design and manufacturing. We build an Industrial 3D Printing Platform to liberate designers and engineers from decades-old, slow part creation processes. NASA, Google, Ford, Amazon, Siemens and thousands of companies in 50 countries use Markforged to print same-day prototypes and produce stronger end-use parts than they did before. With Markforged, customers are able to ship 50X faster, spend 20X less, and build products that are 23X stronger. The Markforged platform includes a full ecosystem of 3D printers for metal, composite, and plastic parts; purpose-built metal & carbon-reinforced materials for strength and beautiful finishes; and cloud software for turning drawings into high-strength printing. “We’re interested in additive… but we don’t really know where it fits.” We hear this often. And that’s exactly where most teams get stuck. Because it’s not about replacing what already works. It’s about understanding when additive actually adds value. That’s exactly what we’ll explore together with Varbergs Precision AB. We’ll walk through real parts they’re producing today and how additive fits into their existing workflow. If these are the kinds of questions you’re working through, join the conversation 👇 https://lnkd.in/eHKZ4qw3

Faire avancer la maintenance aéronautique avec l'impression 3D : une mission que nous menons avec fierté aux côtés de l’Armée de l’air et de l’espace française pour garantir une disponibilité opérationnelle optimale. Driving progress in aerospace maintenance with additive manufacturing: we are proud to partner with the French Air and Space Force to guarantee peak operational availability.

We’re on the ground in Albacete, Spain, for the AM Village 2026. It was an honor to have King Felipe VI visit the event and witness how 3D printing is a critical military capability today. By enabling the production of high-strength parts exactly at the point of need, we are helping armed forces bypass fragile logistics and stay mission-ready in any environment. Traditional infrastructure is defined by its foundational nature: it is essential, resilient, standardized, and accessible. In today’s volatile landscape, our manufacturing base must share these qualities. The fragility of long, complex supply chains has shown that the ability to make things when and where they are needed is just as vital as the ability to transport them. The Digital Forge creates a unified, trustworthy system that can be accessed globally instead of simply connecting machines to basic software workflows for design. When traditional manufacturing reaches its limits, what comes next? At some point, many production teams run into the same challenge: a part becomes too complex, too slow, or too costly to produce using traditional methods. That’s often when the question comes up: Could additive manufacturing help solve this? Join us and Varbergs Precision AB, a Swedish precision manufacturer, for a live discussion on where additive manufacturing fits in production environments today. This year for #InternationalWomensDay #IWD26 at our 60 Tower Rd HQ we welcomed guest speaker Kathy Ball-Toncic for a special session along with a luncheon to celebrate the women who help propel industrial production to the point of need. Kathy shared invaluable insights on resilience in professional and personal life. At Markforged, we know that the strongest structures, much like the strongest parts and machines, are built with diverse perspectives and a commitment to excellence. #DiversityInTech #DiversityInManufacturing

To look five to ten years into the future of manufacturing, Autodesk Research needs hardware that matches their ambition. That’s why, when developing their groundbreaking Performance-Aided Design workflow, the team turned to Markforged. This collaboration isn't just about 3D printing parts; it’s about creating a digital-to-physical loop that allows engineers to iterate at the speed of data. To test this research, Autodesk Research built two massive Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) platforms—one with a 300-pound max takeoff weight. These UAVs face extreme dynamic loading, wind gusts, and temperature shifts, making them the ultimate "torture test" for both software and hardware, while providing real-time data to asses the design and iterate.
