Velo3D awarded $9.8 million Defense Logistics Agency contract. We've been selected for a five-year contract supporting the Joint Additive Manufacturing Acceptability (JAMA) Pilot Parts Program, providing critical components to the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Space Force. This contract establishes Velo3D as a key supplier for additively manufactured spare parts, addressing supply chain challenges and obsolescence issues in legacy defense systems. Our Rapid Production Solution will deliver components that historically faced long lead times and limited domestic supplier availability. Aerospace supplier Intergalactic used metal #3Dprinting technology by Velo3D to dramatically decrease the time it takes to turn a design into a working aircraft component. As Vanesa M. Listek reports, Velo3D’s Sapphire XC system was used to produce critical parts for an aircraft heat exchanger system in just a few weeks.

Vigoride 7 is heading to orbit with a Velo3D printed fuel tank on board. Momentus' upcoming mission carries 10 demonstration payloads for NASA, DARPA, the Air Force Research Laboratory, and commercial partners. Intergalactic leveraged our Rapid Production Solution (RPS) to produce Inconel 718 microtube heat exchanger headers for an aviation program with aggressive test deadlines. The result: complex geometries printed as designed, minimal supports, no design concessions and a foundation for distributed manufacturing across any validated Sapphire system worldwide.
