If you have a new edtech project coming up, here are some things you need to prepare for in advance: https://lnkd.in/gSmdSC2X Teams that launch on time are the ones that adapt best to changing requirements. We spend a lot of energy trying to nail down the scope. Far less goes into building the structures that help when it shifts. It's not until week 6 that requirements start shifting. A client adds something, a regulatory update lands, or the infrastructure assumptions from January no longer hold. None of that is surprising. But the biggest damage comes to delivery teams that don't account for this. In over 15 years of managing complex software projects, I've seen non-functional requirements like performance, security, and load testing go unnoticed until the first day of school or exam day. They're not as visible as a new dashboard or a feature request, but they're the reason platforms go down on the first day of a school-wide assessment. #EdTech #ProductDelivery #AgileDelivery #ProductManagement

Education has no shortage of data. What it still lacks is data that is connected, trusted, and actionable. That gap affects everything. Rishi breaks down why fragmented data keeps schools and edtech teams from making better decisions, and what it takes to build a foundation that supports action: https://lnkd.in/gd36-u_7 #EdTech #DataIntelligence #K12

AI literacy in learning means more than knowing how to use a tool. It means helping students understand what AI is, where it shows up, what to question, and what responsible use looks like. That takes educators who are willing to engage, experiment, and lead those conversations in real time. National AI Literacy Day is also a useful reminder for those building learning products. If educators are not considered in how AI tools are designed, introduced, and supported, the gap between product and practice only grows. The strongest tools are shaped with classroom realities in mind. #EdTech #AI #Literacy

A product can be WCAG compliant and still be frustrating to use. That’s the gap teams can miss when accessibility is treated as a legal finish line rather than a user experience standard. Dan explains the difference between meeting WCAG and creating something that works for screen reader and keyboard users. #UserExperience #EdTech #Accessibility

“Everybody will have access to the same AI tools. The bar will be raised in terms of what is expected out of you.” Revisiting this EdTech Week conversation, Acky joined the panel to discuss how education teams need to think differently about AI as these tools become widely accessible. The conversation covered authenticity in learning, changes in assessment approaches, bias, and the gap between what looks impressive in AI and what works in classrooms. The recording is now available here: https://lnkd.in/gyppCdBB #AI #EdTech #EducationLeadership EDTECH WEEK

Retention conversations usually start too late in higher ed. In this episode, Shaunak Roy, CEO at Yellowdig, gets closer to the root of the problem and where persistence is won or lost long before a student leaves: https://lnkd.in/gJX39-Zk What makes this one worth the time is the substance beneath the headline. Better signals than surface activity, a sharper view of faculty load, and a more grounded take on AI in higher ed than most of the market. #HigherEd #StudentRetention #Podcast

We keep talking about the "skills gap.” But as Allison Danielsen, CEO of Tallo, points out, the real issue might be visibility: https://lnkd.in/gGd-J2aw Students are building real, transferable skills every day. We’re just not helping them show it in ways employers recognize. Tune in to the episode to find out how to signal the right talent. #SkillsGap #CareerReadiness #K12
