  • The Charles Evans Whittaker U.S. Courthouse has been part of the Kansas City skyline for nearly three decades. After more than two years of work, we're celebrating the completion of a major renovation at the downtown federal courthouse. Working alongside the GSA, Krueck Sexton Partners, and Alpha Corporation, we replaced 96,000 square feet of exterior façade while keeping the courthouse fully operational throughout construction. Thank you to our project team, trade partners, and everyone who helped bring this renovation across the finish line.

  • For nearly 20 years, JE Dunn and Henry Carlson Construction worked side by side across South Dakota, delivering projects that helped shape communities throughout the region. Along the way, we built more than buildings. We built trust, shared experiences and lasting relationships. Over time, the distinction between partner and teammate became increasingly difficult to see, as both organizations approached projects with many of the same values and priorities. • Congratulations to Bethany Logan Ropa for being named one of Ingram's Magazine's 50 Missourians You Should Know! From serving on our Board of Directors to joining JE Dunn as Chief Financial Officer, Bethany has brought thoughtful leadership, strategic perspective, and a long-term mindset to our company. We're proud to have her on the team and grateful for the impact she continues to make as we help build the next chapter of our story.

I'm humbled to be included in Ingram's Magazine 50 Missourians You Should Know 2026! It all started 6 years ago with a cold call from Angie Salmon, MBA, who reached out about "a construction company in the Midwest that wanted to talk to me about a board seat". After 4 years on the Board at JE Dunn Construction, I took the plunge to join full time as CFO last year, starting an incredible new chapter for my family and me.   Going from 17 years of investment banking in NYC to the construction industry in Kansas City proved that the fundamentals of business don't really change. You still have to stay calm under pressure, make smart calls without having all the answers, and think long-term.   Thank you, Ingram's, for this wonderful recognition. I’m proud to call Kansas City home and to work alongside the exceptional team at JE Dunn.   Read the full feature and see the complete list here: https://lnkd.in/gSgA7Gry

  • A strong workforce doesn't happen by accident. It takes investment, partnership, and a commitment to developing people. We're proud of the impact STAR has made in Kansas City over the past two years, helping 184 participants begin careers in the skilled trades and supporting a 92% retention rate across 10 cohorts. Creating opportunities for the next generation of builders is important not only for our industry, but also for the culture we're building. At JE Dunn, people can build meaningful careers, continue learning, and see a future for themselves in construction.

Two years of STAR in Kansas City. What began as an effort to create stronger pathways into the construction industry has grown into a program we are incredibly proud of. Over the past two years, STAR has: • Graduated 184 participants across 10 cohorts • Maintained a 92% retention rate, with graduates continuing to work in the construction industry today • Created meaningful pathways for individuals to begin and build careers in the skilled trades This success would not be possible without the strength of our partnerships. I’m incredibly grateful for the collaboration and commitment from the Missouri Works Initiative, the Greater KC Building & Construction Trades, and the sponsorship of Google. Workforce development is no longer a “nice to have” for our industry. It is a need to have. The labor challenges facing construction require all of us to think differently about how we recruit, develop, and retain the next generation of builders. STAR is one example of what is possible when industry, labor, and community partners come together around a shared goal: creating opportunity while strengthening the construction workforce right here in Kansas City. I’m especially excited to share a recent commercial we had the honor of filming that highlights one of our STAR graduates. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the people at the heart of this program build skills, careers, and a future in the industry. I’m incredibly proud of what we have built together over the past two years and even more excited about what’s ahead. I look forward to continuing to grow STAR, strengthen our partnerships, and create more opportunities for the next generation of builders in Kansas City. Here are a few standout insights from Paul Neidlein, Bethany Logan Ropa, Brian Haulotte, LEED AP, and William Roberson, as they discussed the economic, workforce, technology, and market trends shaping construction today. • This year, more than 1,300 JE Dunn employees chose healthcare and mental health access for veterans as the focus of our Cornerstone Campaign, directing $1.5M+ in giving to organizations making a difference in the lives of veterans and their families. Congratulations to our South Central region grant recipients: GallantFew, Patriots' Hall of Dripping Springs, Honoring America's Warriors, and PTSD Foundation Of America. Together, these organizations are expanding access to mental health care, building connection and community, and helping veterans navigate life after service.

  • A 16-million-square-foot manufacturing campus is taking shape in Social Circle, Georgia. Through CJ Adventures, our joint venture with Clayco, we’re delivering Rivian’s new manufacturing campus, one of the largest advanced manufacturing projects in the country. Vertical construction began in May, and our teams are now tackling some of the project’s most technically demanding work, including foundations for two stamping presses. The primary factory buildings are expected to be enclosed in 2027. Read more about the project in Engineering News-Record’s latest look at the campus: https://jedne.ws/4xLBkin

  • Hispanic Heritage Month is an opportunity to recognize the cultures, experiences and perspectives that shape who we are. Through SOMOS, our Hispanic and Latino employee resource group, employees connect, build community, mentor one another, and create greater cultural awareness across JE Dunn. Because building a stronger organization starts with making space for people, their experiences, and their stories.
