  • Omnissa Horizon problems with vCenter VMs typically involve VMs entering an "Agent Unreachable" or "Customization" error state, often caused by ADLDS/VcCache corruption, host-level issues, or network connectivity failures between Connection Servers and vCenter. These issues frequently cause failed desktop provisioning, slow logins, or inability to delete stale non-persistent VMs. || Key causes for Omnissa Horizon vCenter VM issues include: __Communication Breakdown: The connection server cannot reach vCenter due to improper network configuration, service issues, or expired/incorrect SSL certificates.     __Failed Customization: Virtual machines fail during provisioning because of domain join errors, pending Windows updates, or incorrect agent versions.     __Agent Unreachable/Stale Status: Machines report an "Agent Unreachable" status, often caused by frozen sessions, broken Agent-to-Connection Server communication, or inability of non-persistent desktops to refresh properly.     __Database/Resource Limits: vCenter SQL Express databases hitting 10GB limits, or insufficient resources on ESXi hosts to power on VMs.     __Incorrect Object Path: A machine being moved, renamed, or deleted in vCenter, causing a discrepancy with the Horizon Pool configuration. || Troubleshooting involves verifying DNS, firewalls, and service accounts, restarting Connection Services to refresh the cache, or resetting/recreating affected VMs Expertise: VMware | Omnissa | Microsoft Website: https://www.ITSA.Cloud Channel: https://lnkd.in/g9-xFd7y Need a Lab? https://lnkd.in/g9DP-nUX

  • Windows Server 2025 Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) structures networks into forests (top-level containers) and domains (logical partitions), now enhanced with a native WS2025 functional level, 32k database page support for scale, improved security, and Delegated Managed Service Accounts (dMSAs). It streamlines identity management, authentication, and replication while requiring Windows Server 2016+ for DCs. Here is a breakdown of what AD DS forests and domains mean in the context of Windows Server 2025: || Key Concepts in WS2025 AD DS __Active Directory Forest: The highest level of organization and security boundary. It contains one or more domains that share a common schema, configuration, and global catalog. __Active Directory Domain: A logical partition within the forest used to manage objects (users, computers, groups) and replicate data. It handles authentication and authorization. __Forest Root Domain: The first domain created in a new forest.  What's New & Key Features in WS2025 AD __Native Windows Server 2025 Functional Level: Unlocks new capabilities, including support for a 32k database page size, improving directory performance and capacity. __Security Upgrades: Introduces Delegated Managed Service Accounts (dMSAs), which bind authentication to specific machine identities to prevent credential theft like Kerberoasting. __Improved DC Location: Updated domain controller (DC) discovery algorithm mapping short NetBIOS names to DNS names, deprecating legacy WINS/mailslots. __Functional Levels: While it supports the new 2025 level, the minimum functional level for a WS2025 DC remains Windows Server 2016. || Forest and Domain Management __Automatic Upgrades: If all DCs in a forest are upgraded to WS2025, the forest level can be raised to automatically update all domains. __Single Domain Model: Microsoft often recommends a single-domain forest for reduced complexity, allowing any DC to handle authentication. __Tools: Managed via Active Directory Domains and Trusts and PowerShell (Get-ADForest, Get-ADDomain). • VMware private cloud on HCI is an IT environment that combines VMware's software-defined data center (SDDC) technologies with hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) to create an agile, efficient, and scalable private cloud environment. The core of this solution is typically VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) or VMware vSphere Foundation (VVF), which integrates vSphere for compute, vSAN for storage, and NSX for networking, all running on HCI hardware. This approach simplifies management, reduces costs, and offers a foundation for both traditional and containerized workloads, providing the benefits of a public cloud within a private infrastructure.  * Key Components & Technologies VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF): The complete software-defined stack for private and hybrid cloud deployments, it bundles vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and Aria for management and automation. ◼️ VMware vSphere Foundation (VVF): A core workload engine that integrates vSphere for compute, vSAN for storage, and vSphere Kubernetes Service for containers, serving as an HCI solution with a clear path to VCF. ◼️ vSAN: VMware's software-defined storage solution that aggregates local storage from servers into a shared pool, providing storage virtualization for the HCI cluster. ◼️ NSX-T: VMware's virtual networking platform that provides software-defined networking, security features like firewalls and load balancing, and network segmentation for the private cloud. ◼️ HCI Hardware: The underlying physical hardware (servers) that combines compute, storage, and networking resources, simplifying infrastructure management and deployment. * Benefits of a VMware Private Cloud on HCI ◼️ Simplified Management & Operations: A unified management plane simplifies operations and reduces the complexity of traditional, multi-tier architectures. ◼️ Increased Agility: Enables rapid deployment and scaling of resources, allowing for faster provisioning of virtual machines (VMs) and containers. ◼️ Cost Savings: Automation and efficiency provided by VCF can lead to a significant reduction in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). ◼️ Scalability: Provides the ability to scale compute and storage resources independently as workload demands change. ◼️ Modern Application Support: Supports both traditional enterprise applications and modern, containerized workloads. ◼️ Security & Reliability: NSX provides robust network security, and vSAN offers data protection and recovery features, ensuring a secure and reliable environment. DON'T MISS OUT! Deleting 90 VMs or "Virtual Desktops" in less than 4 minutes. Yes! It's possible, this capacity CPU and memory saving from multiple ESXi hosts in a cluster right from VCSA & VDI. vCPU: From 7.99 Went down to 3.81 GHZ used  vMEMORY: From 364.62 Went down to 149.25 GB used vSTORAGE: From 2.991.95 Went down to 1.0011.66 GB used See how a virtual datacenter cluster's capacity is knocked down by 90 Virtual Machines (VMs) after deletion.
