Are you 18–24 years old? We're partnering with The Aspen Institute's Center for Rising Generations to co-design a first-of-its-kind leadership festival built with and for young people, and we need your input. Take this short survey and share your vision for what a national gathering for young people should look like. Your perspective will directly shape what we design. https://lnkd.in/eQAn6FDz

NYC: We're hosting a tax policy potluck on April 9th! This will be an intimate gathering for change-makers working at the intersection of economic justice and caregiving. Together, we'll design tax futures that actually work for diverse, non-nuclear families and the caregivers within them. (Check out our work to date at: justreturns.us) These ideas need to travel further than our own network and out to the people who can help carry them forward and make them real. Know someone who belongs in the room? Share this with the advocates, policymakers, researchers, and community leaders in your orbit who are ready to dig in. https://luma.com/wzvthzp2

  • We've been sending you newsletters for years. They did what most newsletters do: rounded up our latest work, pointed you to our website, hoped you'd click. As our inboxes have grown more crowded, we felt it was time to build something different. Rather than act as a bulletin board or a launchpad elsewhere, we wondered what it could feel like if our thoughts accompanied you throughout your commute, or sat with you over a full mug of coffee. Today we're launching the next iteration of our newsletter. This first edition includes a letter from our CEO Michelle Kreger on what's fueling IDEO.org's next era. Hopefully, its one that invites you to stay awhile. We've also kept room for the small stuff: where to find us, what's inspiring our team, and the occasional thing that just made us laugh. We want this to feel worth your time. So if you read it, tell us what landed, what didn't, what you want more of.

Emerging technologies are changing how we live, work, communicate, and connect. What does that mean for social sector communicators? Join Aya Jaffar and Diane D'Costa from IDEO.org on February 26 at 2:00pm ET for our next webinar, Futuring for Communications. You’ll learn a hands-on method for imagining how new technologies could affect our lives, communities, and the systems we rely on. Together, we’ll map multiple futures—what’s plausible, what’s preferable, and what’s provocative—leaving you with practical tools you can use with your own teams and communities to think ahead together. We're looking for caregivers to join a paid research study! Do you provide significant care or support to someone you're not legally related to? We're exploring how caregiving really works and how the U.S tax system could better reflect that reality. 📣 We're just $3k shy of our fundraising goal! Help us close the gap today to get us closer to a world where everyone belongs. 📣 At IDEO.org, we believe circumstances should never dictate a person’s right to belong. Yet, we live in a world filled with borders—from physical lines on a map to the invisible barriers within our societies that tell people they are outsiders. In our next era, we’re doubling down on a future where belonging transcends borders, identities, and life circumstances. Will you help us build the future we all deserve? https://lnkd.in/e24inHDy

What becomes possible when safety is a given? Safety shouldn’t depend on where you live, what you look like, or what resources you have. And yet, for so many people around the world, safety is conditional. For 15 years, IDEO.org has worked alongside communities to design pathways toward safety across classrooms, clinics, and in neighborhoods that don’t have to be earned or negotiated. We’ve seen that when people are met with the affirmation, protection, and care they deserve, new futures take root. In our next era, we’re committed to growing this work so that a world where safety isn’t tied to privilege is possible for everyone. Will you join us? https://lnkd.in/e24inHDy

What will you make possible? For nearly 15 years, IDEO.org has designed alongside communities to rethink how people access healthcare, move through displacement with dignity, and experience care, learning, and belonging. And even in a year that has challenged the entire social impact field, we’ve continued to see glimpses of what a more humane future could look like. Projects like Ask Aya, designed with The Holding Co. and National Domestic Workers Alliance to support domestic workers with an AI-powered advocacy coach; Reimagine Childcare, our multi-year partnership with RWJF reframing care as a public good; and Classroom Champions, tools for classroom connection co-created with Garland Independent School District — all point toward the futures we deserve and possibilities ready to be unlocked. As we enter our next 15 years, we're moving with renewed energy, deeper partnerships, and a clear commitment to designing a world where dignity, care, and belonging are non-negotiable. And we can’t do it without you. https://lnkd.in/e24inHDy
