As we wrap up Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re proud to share that this month we’ve trained almost 200 additional employees to serve as Well First Responders in North America. These individuals are equipped to Notice and Respond when colleagues may be facing mental health challenges. Mental health is essential to our well‑being at work, and with nearly 900 trained employees in our program, easily recognized by a special button or sticker, you’re never alone, with colleagues ready to listen, support, and help us build a healthier workplace together.

Our Allentown, PA office recently volunteered at Second Harvest Food Bank in Nazareth, where the team helped pack boxes of nutritious food for local seniors. Through the PA Senior Food Box Program, recipients can receive these boxes via delivery or pickup, along with a recipe to help create a meal using the shelf stable items provided. Thank you to our volunteers. We are proud to see our Heidelberg Materials Helps program supports our communities both locally and beyond!

Grateful for the opportunity to give back by serving meals and sharing smiles at Transitions Homeless Center in Columbia, SC—the Midlands' largest homeless center providing homeless men and women ages 18 and older access to a day center, hot meals, showers, service providers, and housing. Small acts of service can make a big difference, and it was an honor to support this incredible organization and the community they serve. #MaterialDifference #TransitionsHomelessCenter

With our heritage dating to the origins of cement manufacturing in the U.S., we believe a strong and robust industry is key to economic and societal prosperity. From building resilience into our homes and roads, to supporting innovation and growth, to developing our next generation workforce, cement is critical to our success. By working with the American Cement Association to advocate for the industry, we’re helping ensure cement continues to play a vital role in building our future. Check this video out to learn more.
ACA thanks Heidelberg Materials North America’s David Perkins for explaining why cement should be declared a critical material for national security, infrastructure, and so much more. https://lnkd.in/g9hwNrjB #AmericanCement #NationalStrength
