Andrew “bunnie” Huang is a guiding light in the world of privacy-friendly, verifiable hardware, and has just concluded a successful Crowd Supply campaign with Dabao – an evaluation board for the Baochip-1x. This chip aims to standardize security-friendly practices across the tech industry, by opening up secure features that typically require steep prices and NDAs. It’s easy to inspect with infra-red in-situ (IRIS) imaging, and also sports a memory management unit (MMU) and a BIO (Baochip I/O) coprocessor. And the Dabao board is designed for flexibility and fun! Learn all about it in this casual interview, hosted by Hackster Pro Partner Alex Glow. 🛠 Join us live and drop your questions in the chat! 🔔 Follow Hackster.io for more hardware news, interviews, and tutorials Links: // Dabao on Crowd Supply: https://lnkd.in/gVjGehBJ // More about the BIO coprocessor: https://lnkd.in/ge9565bu // Hardwear.io talk, “Towards End-User Verifiable Silicon”: https://lnkd.in/gdH5ajtf // Hackaday Europe talk, “Seeing Through Silicon with IRIS Imaging”: https://lnkd.in/g5ydA43g // Previously on Hackster Café (Nov. 2020): https://lnkd.in/gv5ajpba

Are we moving past the need for cloud computing in AI? We stopped by the Nordic Semiconductor booth at #EW2026 to talk about the future of edge AI with Robin Maristad Saltnes. They are showing off some incredibly efficient technology, including their custom Newton models that run on the normal CPU processing core of any Nordic SoC. #EdgeAI #NordicSemiconductor #EmbeddedSystems #Engineering #MachineLearning #Hardware #IoT
