We’re proud to support Ryanair’s expansion of the Wrocław Aircraft Maintenance Services (WAMS) base at Wrocław Airport.    The project includes three principal single-storey hangar areas, H1, H2 and H3, each with an integral technical and service mezzanine. The combined ground-floor hangar area is 7,085m, with a further 2,026m² of mezzanine space. H2 is configured as two functionally independent hangar spaces without a dividing wall. The development also includes office, warehouse, workshop and social facilities, technical rooms, a transformer station, and upgrades to the aircraft apron and internal road network. Together, these works will increase capacity for the base maintenance of the Boeing 737-800, 737-8200 and 737-MAX10.     Working within an operational airport environment, our Wrocław team is providing project management, cost management and quality/construction supervision, helping to manage programme, cost and quality of works. This is an important investment in specialist aviation infrastructure, supporting Wrocław’s growing role in the European maintenance, repair and overhaul market. https://lnkd.in/e6GYGD9C

We’re thrilled to announce that Gleeds has been awarded five Lots under the new Ports of Jersey (PoJ) Professional Services Framework.  The two-year agreement will cover a range of major capital projects across the Island’s airport and harbour estates, underpinning improvements to infrastructure and connectivity, and building long-term economic resistance.  Our success on the Framework builds upon our existing relationship with the PoJ as we deliver on the first phase of its significant investment into the redevelopment of Elizabeth Harbour in St. Helier. We are providing a full range of Project Management Office (PMO) services for Stage 01 of the programme.  Read more on the framework win here: https://lnkd.in/eVx7T4iw

In our latest insight, Irene Magaly Vera Limo examines the growing role of Works for Taxes (OxI) in Peru, a public-private funding mechanism that’s helping accelerate investment and close the country’s infrastructure gap. As OxI is increasingly used to deliver larger, more complex and highly scrutinised programmes, Irene argues that Programme Management Offices (PMOs) and Building Information Modelling (BIM) can no longer be considered optional capabilities. Drawing on experience supporting major infrastructure programmes in Peru, the article explores how the integration of PMO and BIM can strengthen governance, improve decision-making and support more predictable project outcomes at scale. There has never been a greater demand for data centres, and this has contributed to placing increasing pressure on power infrastructure. With significant backlogs for grid connections and long waiting times, one key question remains: how can we deliver the next generation of projects when power provision is already struggling to keep pace? Lucinda Seagrave, Head of Utilities and Sustainability at Gleeds, joined a roundtable hosted by Construction News and E.ON UK to explore how earlier engagement, better collaboration and smarter planning could help unlock projects and support the UK's energy transition. Faces of Change: The Legacy of the UK-Peru Infrastructure Partnership   The UK Delivery Team, comprising Gleeds, Arup and Mace, has released a feature-length ‘Faces of Change’ documentary showcasing the transformative impact of the UK-Peru partnership on the delivery of critical national infrastructure.    Marking the conclusion of the six-year programme, the film highlights the stories behind the new international-standard schools, healthcare facilities and flood defence systems delivered in collaboration with our partner, the National Infrastructure Authority (ANIN), and the lasting difference they are making to communities across Peru.    Narrated by acclaimed Andean actor Reynaldo Arenas, the documentary premiered during British Week in Peru and celebrates the legacy of a partnership that has transformed lives through infrastructure. Showcased through media and stakeholder engagement activities across the country, it builds on the themes first presented in the ‘Faces of Change: The Stories Behind the Reconstruction Programme’ photobook and exhibition. Together, the three initiatives provide a powerful record of the programme's legacy, placing people and communities at the centre of the story. https://lnkd.in/eh7NpqXV
