A primary sector business is one that adds value to a product, process, or service that generates new wealth from customers outside of North Dakota. The ND Department of Commerce certifies businesses for this designation, opening the door to programs you may already qualify for. If you're looking into applying for APUC, ADD, or some of the many other state economic development programs, receiving a Primary Sector Certification is often a required first step! Grand Forks broke ground on its Children's Museum Wednesday, and the EDC team was proud to be there to celebrate! The 34,000-square-foot facility at South 42nd Street and 17th Avenue has been more than 40 years in the making. At $35 million, it is the kind of bold, community-wide investment that signals what Grand Forks is all about: building a place where families want to put down roots and stay. Executive Director Katie Mayer called it a place "to learn, explore, and grow together," where agriculture, innovation, and creativity will be celebrated every day. Construction is underway, with completion expected in late summer or early fall 2027. A huge congratulations to the entire team behind this project! https://lnkd.in/gAkQNbRn
