Last week, Innovators on a Plane Michigan brought together an incredible group of founders, corporate leaders, investors, and ecosystem builders with a shared goal: to learn from one another, share insights, and spark new collaborations across ecosystems.
Seeing the energy across Detroit, New Hudson, and Ann Arbor was a powerful reminder of how Michigan continues to evolve its deep legacy of world-class innovation.
This experience was designed to give participants a closer look at the people, companies, and organizations shaping the state’s tech and venture communities. Here’s a look at the incredible lineup:
⚡Day 1:
We kicked off with a behind-the-scenes visit at Pratt Miller, exploring advancements in motorsports and defense technology, before wrapping up the evening with a welcome dinner at James Beard-nominated Takoi.
⚡Day 2:
A full day of programming featuring conversations with the teams driving Michigan’s innovation economy forward, including Detroit Venture Partners, Rocket Innovation Studio, and StockX. We also visited the University of Michigan to learn more about breakthroughs in robotics, battery innovation, research partnerships, and the future of learning. The day concluded with a Detroit Tigers game and an exclusive briefing from Ilitch Companies, Ilitch Sports + Entertainment, and Little Caesars Pizza.
⚡Day 3:
We wrapped up at NewLab and Michigan Central, diving into the startup community during Michigan Tech Week. The trip concluded with the “Where Industry Meets Innovation: A Strategic Investor Panel,” bringing together many of the themes explored throughout the experience around corporate and venture collaboration.
