Not every turning point is loud. Sometimes, it’s a quiet decision to keep going… to walk into one more room, even when you’re unsure what’s on the other side. Bray’s journey is a powerful reminder that progress isn’t always linear—but purpose has a way of meeting you when you refuse to stop. What stands out most isn’t just where she is today—it’s how she kept choosing forward, again and again. And in doing so, she aligned with the opportunities that were always waiting for her. We’re proud to be a small part of stories like this—where resilience meets access, and lives begin to shift. #TransformationTuesday #PurposeInAction #WorkforceDevelopment #SecondChances #FirstStepStaffing

A powerful moment out of Orlando, Florida. Our team members—Karima Rose, Adeidra Washington, and Mildred Hicks—had the honor of celebrating a major milestone: the graduation of our clients from their Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class B) training. This is more than a certification—it’s access to sustainable careers, economic mobility, and long-term stability. We’re deeply grateful to TruckMaster CDL for their partnership in equipping our clients with the skills and credentials needed to step into high-demand roles with confidence. Partnerships like this are what make real workforce transformation possible. At First Step Staffing, we believe opportunity should be accessible—and when aligned partners come together, we don’t just place talent, we help build futures. If you’re looking to create meaningful impact through workforce partnerships, we’d love to connect. #WorkforceDevelopment #PartnershipsThatMatter #CDLTraining #SecondChances #FirstStepStaffing #EconomicOpportunity Karima Rose, Ed.M. ✨ Get to Know Adeidra D. Washington ✨ When I have free time, I love spending time with my friends and family and serving my community alongside my Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. sisters. My favorite thing about working in staffing is supporting our clients—individuals who want to work but have faced challenges finding employment. There’s nothing better than seeing a client smile when they’ve been placed on an assignment and given the wraparound support they need to succeed. Being able to help them build a career path, earn certifications, and advance to higher-paying opportunities through our Retention Services Department is incredibly rewarding. What motivates me most in my role at First Step is the opportunity to be out in the community, building relationships with organizations and companies that help us provide life-changing resources. As Director of Community Engagement, I get to play a part in creating the partnerships that empower our clients to truly thrive—and that’s what makes this work so meaningful. #GetToKnowMe #TeamFirstStep #StaffingThatMatters #PeopleFirst #FirstStepStaffing

Employment is one of the most effective tools for creating long-term stability. It doesn’t just impact the individual—it strengthens families, reduces barriers, and contributes to healthier communities. The Urban Institute highlights how second-chance hiring supports both economic mobility and workforce participation. https://lnkd.in/e9ETcbS2 At First Step Staffing, we work at the intersection of business and impact—helping companies meet workforce needs while creating pathways to stability through employment. Because when businesses invest in people, the impact extends far beyond the workplace. #CommunityImpact #WorkforceSolutions #SecondChanceHiring #EconomicMobility #Staffing

March has been a meaningful month across First Step Staffing—especially as we expand our impact in Baltimore and celebrate Women’s History Month. In Baltimore, we’re building new partnerships and creating pathways to employment in a growing market—bringing our mission to even more individuals ready to work. At the same time, we’ve been proud to spotlight the women who are actively rewriting their stories—highlighting resilience, progress, and the power of opportunity through employment. This work is about more than staffing. It’s about access, support, and creating real momentum for people and communities. Take a look at what we’ve been building this month: 👉 https://conta.cc/4uC618H #WomensHistoryMonth #TransformationTuesday #Baltimore #WorkforceDevelopment #CommunityImpact #StaffingThatMatters

This month, as we recognize Women’s History Month, we’re also celebrating the women who are actively writing their own stories—right now. Mary’s journey is a reminder that resilience doesn’t always look loud. Sometimes, it looks like showing up anyway. Taking the next step anyway. Believing something better is still possible. At First Step Staffing, we have the privilege of walking alongside women like Mary every day—women who are rebuilding, growing, and stepping into new chapters with strength and purpose. This is more than a single story. It’s the beginning of a series. Introducing our #TransformationTuesday spotlight—where we’ll be sharing real stories of perseverance, progress, and possibility leading up to #GivingTuesday. Because when women rise, communities rise with them. #WomensHistoryMonth #TransformationTuesday #WorkforceDevelopment #CommunityImpact

We’re proud to have been represented by our CEO, Amelia Nickerson, at Atlanta’s 2026 State of the City Business Address. Hearing Mayor Dickens outline continued progress in affordable housing, public safety, and workforce development reinforces the importance of cross-sector partnership in driving meaningful change. At First Step Staffing, we remain committed to expanding access to employment and creating pathways to economic mobility. We’re honored to partner with the City of Atlanta in building stronger, more inclusive communities. #FirstStepStaffing #WorkforceDevelopment #EconomicMobility #CityOfAtlanta #CommunityImpact

We’re proud to introduce Tahlia, our Branch Manager, leading the way at our newest First Step Staffing location in Baltimore, Maryland. Recently, Tahlia attended the HERstory Matters: Rooted in Power, Not Permission event — a powerful gathering of nonprofit leaders and community changemakers focused on leadership, connection, and impact. One of the highlights of the evening was connecting with Nia Imani Fields, whose partnership has been instrumental in helping First Step take root in Baltimore. Through grant support and invaluable community connections, Nia has been a tremendous champion of our work — helping ensure our model can succeed in the region and ultimately create pathways to employment and opportunity for hundreds of individuals. We’re excited for what’s ahead in Baltimore, and grateful for leaders like Tahlia and partners like Nia who are helping make it possible. Welcome to the team, Tahlia. Let’s get to work. #FirstStepStaffing #Baltimore #WorkforceDevelopment #SecondChanceHiring #CommunityPartnerships #WomenInLeadership
