The Evolution Strategy Partners team took a little time away from the office for a team night out here in Austin. We work hard together, and we believe it is just as important to enjoy time together too. The evening started at Salty Sow where we enjoyed from great local cuisine and good conversation. Afterward, we headed to Axe Escape - Axe Throwing Austin, where our axe-throwing skills were… let’s just say a work in progress for some of us. Moments like this remind us that strong teams are built both in the boardroom and outside of it. Great to have Stenning Schueppert, Ken Nguyen, Sean Ryan, Stephanie Stokes and Brody Pribyl together! And while many companies hand out traditional swag, Evolution likes to think a little differently. Great to spend productive time last week at the Independent Sponsor Forum Deal Series in Dallas. A Board meeting visit at DiPonio Contracting, Inc. would not be complete without a stop at the equipment yard. Despite the cold, snow, and ice, the yard was fully operational, which is a true testament to the grit, preparation, and discipline of the DiPonio team. Seeing their fleet and field operations up close reinforces what we already know: great companies are built on strong people, well-maintained equipment, and a culture of accountability. Board meetings are important, but there’s no substitute for getting boots on the ground and spending time with the team where the real work happens.
