This morning Etsy reported our first quarter 2025 results. “Etsy's first quarter 2025 financial results were aligned with our expectations, with solid adjusted EBITDA performance despite pressure on the top line,” said Josh Silverman, Etsy, Inc. Chief Executive Officer. “We're excited to see green shoots, particularly in our App metrics, indicating that our work to build deeper connections with buyers and encourage more frequent visits is taking hold. By leveraging the power of artificial intelligence and machine learning, we're creating a more inspiring and engaging app experience that provides us with richer insights to personalize Etsy in meaningful ways for each buyer. We brought the magic of Etsy to life this past week at #GoogleCloudNext! With the help of Google Cloud, we created an immersive exhibit that highlighted how we use Google’s AI tools to fuel Etsy’s new visual-forward discovery experience and help us better understand our unique inventory. The exhibit even featured an 11-foot tall physical manifestation of the endless inspiration our new browsing experience offers! And of course, we put our sellers and their incredible items front and center, showcasing their creations in a “Museum of Extraordinary Objects.” A huge thank you to the Google Cloud and Etsy teams who made this happen!

These collections are distinct and varied, ranging from timely trends like “Island Luxe” to everyday aesthetics like “Modern Farmhouse.” The new experience combines the human curation of our expert teams with the power of AI to bring curation to scale across our marketplace of 100M+ items. And, it’s personalized to each shopper based on what they like. Introducing the newest addition to Etsy’s Uplift Makers Program: The Appalachian Creatives Collective 🌄 We’re welcoming 29 makers from the Appalachia region of the U.S., who create unique pieces from ceramics to leather goods, inspired by the community’s craft heritage and storied surroundings. Etsy has long been an onramp to entrepreneurship. As part of that commitment, The Uplift Makers program works to open doors to ecommerce for artisan communities and create opportunities to generate meaningful income. Together with our nonprofit partner Nest we’ve onboarded more than 170 makers to the program to date!
