$1.75M! That’s how much has been granted this month to 25 deserving nonprofit organizations in the West Region in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Cox Charities. It brings the total community investment through Cox Charities over the past three decades to more than $25M across our seven markets – a mind-blowing impact! Cox Charities is special because it’s largely employee-funded, the giving is employee-directed, and the dollars stay local. It’s a privilege to witness the deep commitment and generosity of my Cox Communications colleagues who give from their paychecks and invest their time to make our communities better. #LifeatCox Blaine County Education Foundation, The Hunger Coalition, Flourish Foundation, Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona Youth On Their Own El Rio Community Health CenterFoodbank of Santa Barbara County Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara The David's Harp Foundation, Inc. Yesterday, we got a BIG surprise. Something that every non-profit dreams of. Our senior director of development & director of corporate partnerships attended an event celebrating the San Diego County Board of Supervisors' declaration of March 3, 2026, as Cox Charities Day in San Diego County, marking 30 years of employee-funded giving in Cox’s West Region. They had no idea that Cox Charities would surprise Feeding San Diego (and three other amazing non-profits) with a $100,000 grant to advance our hunger-relief and food rescue programs at the event. Cue the big check moment, and you could see the shock on everyone's faces. What a moment! Thank you to Cox Communications for believing in our mission and providing tangible support, both yesterday and for the many years we have been partners!
