  • What systems or tools do you use to track the long-term impact of your Higher Purpose? Purpose without measurement can quickly become disconnected from day-to-day decision-making. Conscious Leaders understand that if purpose is meant to shape the business, it needs to be visible, measurable, and regularly reviewed. Organizations are using a range of tools to track progress, including: • Key Purpose Indicators (KPIs) to measure progress alongside financial performance • Culture and engagement surveys to assess alignment, trust, and employee experience • Stakeholder feedback loops to capture insight from customers, employees, suppliers, and communities • Impact reports to track social, environmental, and operational outcomes over time • Leadership and values assessments to evaluate whether behaviors align with stated principles The goal is to keep purpose connected to the systems, behaviors, and decisions shaping the organization every day. #ConsciousLeadership #HigherPurpose #ImpactMeasurement #Leadership #BusinessStrategy

  • Customer loyalty is shaped by everything that happens after the sale. In a market where switching costs are low and expectations continue to rise, customer experience has become a core leadership priority. The companies strengthening retention today are moving customer feedback quickly into action. They are equipping frontline teams to respond in real time, improving communication across touch points, and building cultures where listening drives operational decisions. This is closely tied to values and stakeholder engagement. Organizations that earn long-term trust tend to reinforce the same behaviors internally and externally: accountability, responsiveness, transparency, and respect for the people they serve. Customers pay attention to whether their feedback leads to meaningful change. Over time, that consistency strengthens trust, retention, and brand relevance. What has made the biggest difference in strengthening customer trust and engagement in your organization this year? #CustomerExperience #CustomerTrust #StakeholderEngagement #Leadership #BusinessStrategy

  • Can you grow without losing your culture? In an episode of The Conscious Capitalists podcast with Timothy Henry and Raj Sisodia, Melanie Dulbecco, CEO of Torani (R. Torre & Co.), shares how she scaled a family-owned syrup company into a global brand while keeping purpose at the center. For Melanie, growth was less about numbers are more about embedding ownership, care, and development into the company’s DNA. From employee ownership programs to building strong supplier and community relationships, her approach proves that investing in people is both good business and good leadership. This conversation is a blueprint for leaders who want to grow without compromising their values. 👉 Listen to the full episode here: https://lnkd.in/eJ-R-jP5 #ConsciousLeadership #Torani #ConsciousCapitalism #PurposeDrivenBusiness #CultureAndGrowth

  • True digital transformation shows up in how people work, make decisions, and adapt over time. The organizations leading in this space are aligning technology investments with workflow redesign, employee development, and cultural readiness across the business. For example, Securitas Group paired major investments in digital security systems with frontline training, enabling employees to move from reactive guarding to predictive security services supported by technology. First United Bank uses a framework called “humanology” to ensure digital tools strengthen human relationships rather than replace them. Technology handles transactional work more efficiently, allowing employees to spend more time advising and supporting customers. Christine / Chris Heckart, CEO of Xapa, has emphasized that investments in AI will only create value if employees are trained in the areas technology cannot replicate, including judgment, ethics, and problem-solving. The companies seeing long-term results are embedding digital fluency across the organization while keeping people, culture, and decision-making at the center of transformation efforts. #DigitalTransformation #Leadership #FutureOfWork #TechnologyStrategy #OrganizationalCulture

  • Every leadership team faces the same tension: how do you pursue bold growth without weakening long-term resilience? Push too aggressively on short-term gains, and you risk instability. Move too cautiously, and the business loses relevance. The strongest organizations evaluate risk through the lens of long-term value creation asking not only what drives revenue today, but what strengthens trust, resilience, and strategic positioning over time. CVS Health walked away from billions in tobacco revenue to align more closely with its healthcare mission. REI closed stores on Black Friday to reinforce its belief in outdoor well-being and deepen trust with employees and customers. Vital Farms absorbed short-term financial pressure to protect its network of family farmers during a market downturn, strengthening long-term supply chain resilience. The organizations that navigate uncertainty best tend to take risks that reinforce their long-term positioning, values, and credibility. #ConsciousLeadership #RiskAndResilience #BusinessStrategy #LongTermThinking

What a joy it was sharing examples and action steps on what to say - when we don't know what to say - on the Conscious Capitalism, Inc. podcast and summit. It makes my day when people circle back to tell me they bought the book for their staff, and they discuss a chapter a week in their meetings. One exec told me she "divvied up" the chapters and each week, a different team member has five minutes to summarize the lesson from his/her chapter - and then facilitate a ten minute discussion on how that idea can be used with customers and coworkers. She said everyone looks forward to the meetings because they're like "Forrest Gump's box of chocolates. We never know what we're going to get, all we know is it will be interesting and something we can use at work and at home to communicate better.

🗣️ What if the difference between conflict and connection was as simple as one better sentence? That’s the power behind Talking on Eggshells by Sam Horn, a must-read for leaders, teammates, and anyone who’s ever walked into a tough conversation wishing they had the right words. Through simple frameworks and real-world scripts, she shows how to diffuse tension, build trust, and turn emotionally charged moments into opportunities for clarity, respect, and collaboration. If you lead people, influence decisions, or navigate high-stakes conversations , this book is a game-changer. 👉 Add it to your leadership toolkit, your next tough conversation will thank you: https://amzn.to/4aVwovb #TalkingOnEggshells #SamHorn #LeadershipSkills #ConsciousCommunication #EmotionalIntelligence #BookRecommendations

  • Your company’s future depends on the leaders you develop today. Hiring matters, but long-term strength comes from building leadership capacity across the organization. The most resilient companies create systems that identify potential early, develop it intentionally, and give emerging leaders room to grow through real responsibility. A talent-first leadership strategy often includes: • Succession planning for critical roles • Cross-functional mobility that pushes high-potential talent beyond their expertise • Coaching models focused on future contribution, not just past performance • Stretch assignments that build judgment under pressure • Leadership training for frontline and middle managers, not only executives • Connecting individual purpose to the broader mission of the organization Leadership development shapes how organizations adapt, execute, and sustain culture over time. The strongest companies are built by leaders who consistently invest in other leaders. #TalentStrategy #LeadershipDevelopment #FutureOfLeadership #PeopleAndCulture

Some conversations stay with you. This was one of them. Grateful to join Raj Sisodia and Timothy Henry on The Conscious Capitalists to discuss the ideas at the heart of Co-Created — community, culture, co-creation, and what leadership looks like in a generation that expects participation, not persuasion. As a board member of Conscious Capitalism, Inc., this conversation felt especially meaningful. We explored everything from PACSUN’s Youth Advisory Council to why belonging and trust are becoming business imperatives for Gen Z and Gen Alpha. One of my favorite podcast conversations to date. Honored to be part of it. #CoCreated #Pacsun #ConsciousCapitalism

A teenager in Nashville bought a pair of Pacsun jeans, made a TikTok video in her bedroom, and ended up selling 12,000+ pairs of that model in 48 hours. This week on The Conscious Capitalists, Timothy Henry and Raj Sisodia sit down with Brieane Olson, PACSUN’s CEO, to talk about this new shift in how brands build relevance and trust and why co-creation is becoming less of a marketing tactic and more of an operating system. They explore: • Why Gen Z increasingly wants participation instead of top-down persuasion • How Pacsun built a Youth Advisory Council with real influence on strategy and innovation • Why younger consumers describe brands in emotional terms like “safe,” “seen,” and “belonging” • How leadership changes when communities move faster than institutions • Why the companies that stay culturally relevant may be the ones willing to relinquish some control If you’re a CEO looking to sell to younger consumers, this episode might help.
