Our culture of innovation and personal growth stood out to Courtney Liotta from day one. As a digital marketing product manager, she enjoys collaborating across the bank while helping lead efforts to raise awareness about digital accessibility. "Our accessibility efforts at Commerce are helping make people's lives easier," Courtney says, "and that's amazing!" For her, it’s the people who make Commerce such a rewarding place to build a career.

When Steven Bender joined our team through the bank trainee program, he was looking for opportunities to learn and grow. What he found was much more: a career, lifelong friendships and even his future wife. Today, as manager of dealer services, Steven says the people are what make Commerce different. Whether he’s partnering with bankers across our footprint or hearing stories from customers, it’s the relationships that make his work most rewarding.

Elizabeth Taylor’s journey with Commerce Bank began in 2019 with a quick application and has grown into a rewarding career focused on connection and purpose. A standout aspect for Elizabeth is the people-first culture, where growth, feedback, and innovation take center stage. She finds fulfillment in the relationships she’s built, the leader she’s become, and Commerce’s purpose: focusing on what matters most.

We had the pleasure of hosting our yearly Intern Conference where eager interns traveled to Kansas City for two days of learning, connection, and community impact. The conference concluded with an exciting volunteer experience at Harvesters, where interns bagged corn, cucumbers, carrots, and bread to support families across the region. The service project reinforced one of the event’s recurring themes: the importance of giving back to the community.
