Connectivity isn't just about internet access. It's about creating pathways to opportunity. This week, Brightspeed, in partnership with the River Valley Adult Learning Alliance (RVALA) and local community leaders, launched a workforce training initiative at Johnson County Public Library. A new driving simulator will provide hands-on training for adult learners preparing to earn a driver’s license, pursue a CDL certification, or obtain farm equipment operation certification. “Reliable access to education and workforce training is essential for building strong communities and generating economic opportunities,” said Lymari Muñoz, local marketing manager for Brightspeed. “The driving simulator represents more than technology. It’s an investment in people, helping individuals gain skills, confidence, and access to the opportunities that can change their lives.” We’re honored to support programs that empower individuals, strengthen local workforces, and expand access to opportunity across rural communities. #Brightspeed #CommunityImpact #ConnectingCommunities

Today marked an exciting milestone for rural connectivity in Arkansas as Brightspeed officially launched multi-gig fiber internet service in Coal Hill, Hartman and surrounding rural areas. The ribbon-cutting ceremony brought together Mayor Ronnie Garner, Mayor Jackie Weathers, The Arkansas State Broadband Office and residents who have long faced limited connectivity options in this part of the state. "This investment is about improving the quality of life for the people of Johnson County, because the reality is that reliable internet impacts nearly every part of daily life,” said State Representative Aaron Pilkington. "Reliable internet opens the door to opportunity and a more secure future," said Glen E. Howie, Jr., MPA, director of the Arkansas State Broadband Office. "Today is about celebrating progress for these communities and the people who call them home.” We couldn't agree more. #FiberInternet #FiberConnectivity #Arkansas #Brightspeed

At ITW 2026 last week, connection went far beyond the network. 🌍 Brightspeed Business was proud to sponsor the Ciena Cares volunteer event, “Network & Give Back: Restoring Mobility with WOGO,” bringing together colleagues, customers, and partners for an afternoon centered on purpose, community, and impact. The event supported WOGO (Women Orthopaedist Global Outreach), an incredible organization of female orthopaedic surgeons providing life-changing joint replacement surgeries to underserved communities around the world. Events like these are powerful reminders that our industry is built not only on connectivity and innovation, but also on compassion and collaboration. We are grateful to partner with organizations like Ciena that are creating meaningful change where it matters most. Thank you to everyone who joined us in giving back during ITW 2026. The conversations were inspiring, the partnerships meaningful, and the impact unforgettable. #ITW2026 #BrightspeedBusiness #NetworkingForGood Mercy Carcasses, Elise Omholt

In rural communities, access to care is increasingly tied to access to reliable internet. Brightspeed is proud to partner with the Community Health Center of Butler County, Pennsylvania to support the Jean B. Purvis Community Health Center and its ongoing efforts to connect residents with essential services. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to improving access in rural communities, whether through healthcare services or reliable high-speed internet. As part of the year-long partnership, Brightspeed will support several community events throughout 2026 that help fund the health centers programs and services. Closing the digital divide isn’t just about faster speeds, it’s about expanding access to the resources people rely on every day. We're grateful to help support all the important work that's happening in the Butler community. #Brightspeed #ConnectingCommunities #FiberBroadband #ButlerPA

North Carolina’s local governments are building the future of connected communities, and Brightspeed Business is proud to help power it. As a Silver Sponsor of the 2026 NCLGISA Spring Symposium, our Brightspeed Business Public Sector team had the opportunity to connect with GIS and technology leaders from across the state who are driving innovation in local government, utilities, infrastructure, and community services. From smart city initiatives to critical network modernization, the conversations throughout the event reinforced one thing: secure, scalable connectivity is foundational to the future of public sector operations. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to connect with us. We’re excited to continue supporting the organizations shaping smarter, stronger communities across the region. #BrightspeedBusiness #NCLGISA #PublicSector #FiberInternet #LocalGovernment 📌James Ferruso
