Congratulations to our partners at Summit Shasta on being named a 2026 California Distinguished School! This recognition points to the kind of learning environment Summit Shasta is building every day – one where students are challenged, supported, and have real access to meaningful opportunities. We’re grateful to partner alongside a team so deeply committed to this work. Together, we’re focused on using co-planning to expand access to grade-level learning for diverse learners. Shoutout to Anita Ravi and to the incredible teachers, students, and families who make this community so strong. Matthew Guerrero Sam Eiseman
Proud moment for the Summit community: Summit Shasta has been named a 2026 California Distinguished School by the California Department of Education! This recognition highlights two things that matter deeply to us: closing achievement gaps and creating real beacons of opportunity for students. The designation reflects strong outcomes for students overall while also accelerating progress for groups of students who have historically been underserved. At Summit, we talk a lot about preparing young people for a fulfilled life after high school. Awards like this are a reflection of the daily work of educators who believe deeply in their students and design learning experiences that challenge, support, and open doors. Huge congratulations to the entire Summit Shasta team, and the students and families who make this community so special. Your work continues to show what’s possible when high expectations and deep care go hand in hand. Looking forward to celebrating this achievement with schools across the state at the California School Recognition Program in April. #CaliforniaDistinguishedSchool #Education #StudentSuccess #SummitPublicSchools
