This year's theme captures the heart of a profession committed to advocacy, compassion, and meaningful change. Across hospitals, post-acute settings, schools, community organizations, and government agencies, social workers are on the front lines every day. They help patients and families navigate complex systems, advocate for essential resources, coordinate safe transitions, and support individuals during some of life’s most uncertain moments. At BedConnect, we have the privilege of working alongside social workers and case managers who carry this responsibility with compassion and resilience. This past month, we celebrated the more than 800,000 social workers across the country who continue to bridge gaps, advocate for equity, and strengthen communities. 🩺 National Doctors’ Day | Honor the Calling Practicing medicine is a commitment that shows up in long days, complex decisions, and moments that carry real weight for patients and families. To honor the calling is to recognize what physicians carry each day and the role they play within the larger care team. They are there when answers are unclear and when progress is worth celebrating, working alongside nurses, case managers, therapists, and many others to guide patients forward. Much of this work happens behind the scenes. The constant learning, emotional demands, and steady presence patients rely on are not always visible, but they are essential. At BedConnect, we work closely with healthcare teams navigating transitions of care every day. We see firsthand how physicians collaborate across care teams in both critical moments and the quieter decisions that help patients move safely to the next stage of their care journey. 🚀 Investing in Growth and Curiosity This past weekend, our intern Hunter Dubuc attended the #BuildAnAppInaDay event in #AnnArbor hosted by Kalob Hagen. Participants go from idea to a working product in a single day. It was an opportunity to step outside of his normal role and build on his coding skills in a hands-on environment. This was actually the second #BuildAnAppInaDay event that BedConnect team members have participated in, and each time our team comes back energized by the experience and the community of builders surrounding it. At BedConnect, we believe innovation comes from people who are willing to stay curious, try new things, and push beyond their comfort zones.
