Built by community bankers, for community banks to innovate, evolve and thrive.
About us
We are BankTech Ventures, a strategic investment fund built to strengthen the future of community banking. We source, invest in, and support bank-enabling technology companies that address the real operational and competitive needs of community banks. Our ecosystem brings together bankers, founders, and industry partners to accelerate adoption of solutions that materially improve how community banks operate and grow. We were formed in 2021 in response to a clear market gap. Community banks needed a more efficient and trusted way to access and evaluate emerging technologies. With more than $115MM in committed capital from over 100 community banks and strategic partners in our first fund, we set out to create a purpose-built investment platform dedicated to bank innovation. We go beyond capital. We combine deep banking expertise, collaborative validation with our limited partners, and rigorous diligence to guide founders toward true product-market fit. We focus on technologies that enhance customer experience, improve risk and compliance, strengthen data and analytics capabilities, and unlock automation and operational efficiency. Our team and General Partners come directly from the community banking ecosystem, including two of the country’s most innovative community banks. This structure gives us a unique vantage point into banks’ needs and allows us to support portfolio companies with strategic insight and distribution pathways that traditional venture funds cannot offer. With more than 24 portfolio companies and a growing pipeline of bank-focused innovators, we remain committed to a simple mission. Make community banks stronger, more competitive, and better equipped for the future.

BankTech Ventures began to help banks navigate the noisy marketplace of new technologies, so they could access the best, high impact ones and confidently bring them into their banks. Examples like this between Stablecore and Bank of Utah (as well as Q2) remind me how important and effective this ecosystem can be. Banks that will remain independent will be more agile, more technologically enabled, more strategic and more integrated into their customers' lives than we've historically seen. And I think that's good for everyone. https://lnkd.in/gxaU7SXz

This is huge for banking. Stablecore and Q2 are bringing compliant stablecoin and digital asset products directly into digital banking, and we're proud to be championing this next wave of financial innovation!
Big news - Stablecore has partnered with Q2 to offer stablecoin and digital asset products directly inside Q2 digital banking. We're also pleased to announce Amarillo National Bank and Bank of Utah as initial customers of the Stablecore x Q2 partnership. For the hundreds of banks and credit unions on the Q2 platform seeking an answer for stablecoins and digital assets, this partnership is a game changer. It brings fully compliant digital asset products natively into the Q2 digital banking platform, including: • Stablecoin rails • Digital asset accounts (e.g. Bitcoin) with seamless on / off ramps • Digital asset-based lending • Digital asset staking • Tokenized deposits Importantly, through this deep integration, digital asset products can be made available to Q2 clients in weeks and months, not quarters and years. These partnerships are the result of countless hours of hard work and close collaboration - a big thank you to the Q2, Bank of Utah and Amarillo National Bank teams. Six months from 'we want to build alongside them' to investors and presenting partners. That's the kind of story we love being part of 🤝 See you at Fintech Meetup, Coinbax.
When Peter Glyman started Coinbax, one of the groups he prioritized building a relationship with was BankTech Ventures. They have built something special by bringing banks and fintech founders together in a thoughtful way, and early on it was clear they were the kind of partner we wanted to build alongside. Fast forward about six months with BankTech now as an investor and partner in Coinbax is nothing short of surreal. Seeing that early goal turn into a partnership, and now presenting together at Fintech Meetup feels like a pretty special milestone for our team. The Coinbax team will be in Las Vegas all week at the BankTech Ventures Pavilion, meeting with banks, fintech builders, and partners who are thinking about the future of financial services and digital assets. We will be doing plenty of 1:1 meetings, conversations at the pavilion, and catching up with friends across the ecosystem. If you are heading to Fintech Meetup, we would love to connect! We are booking meetings throughout the week. And if the schedules get packed, we are always happy to continue the conversation over a strategy session at the blackjack table or attempting to surf the wave pool. 🃏🏄♂️ 📍 Fintech Meetup 2026 📅 March 30 to April 1 🏢 Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas
