May is National Speech-Language-Hearing Month! We are honored to recognize SLP Stanley and the care he provides to our speech therapy patients in Colorado. Stanley is a bilingual speech-language pathologist based in Denver. He works with a culturally, linguistically, and medically diverse pediatric caseload in the home setting. In addition to his full time work at Aveanna, Stanley will be teaching a course in the SLHS department at CU Boulder in the fall. “At the core of my treatment philosophy is seeing, honoring, and truly connecting with my patients. Fast and powerful progress in communication abilities can only come when a person is empowered and safe to share their authentic and even imperfect self with those around them," said Stanley. "Communication is about how we show up and participate in the world and in community, and to work in my capacity as an SLP is a sacred privilege.” We are so proud to have you as part of our team, Stanley! Our Speech Therapists make a tremendous difference in the lives of so many families and patients who struggle to communicate or struggle with other things we take for granted like swallowing, eating, and socializing.
