ASCM today shared news of a planned CEO transition, consistent with the conclusion of Abe Eshkenazi's current contract at the end of 2026. This transition timeline was established well in advance as part of a thoughtful succession plan. In alignment with that plan, the ASCM Board of Directors has launched a formal search for the organization’s next CEO and has engaged an executive search firm to support a deliberate and rigorous process. Throughout this transition, ASCM’s strategy, operations and mission remain unchanged. Abe will remain fully engaged as CEO, and the organization will continue advancing its work in education, research, certification and thought leadership in support of supply chain professionals worldwide. https://lnkd.in/g8VAQbU9

"Even more meaningful than the certification knowledge (and the prized post-nominal initials!) are the relationships built along the way—the supply chain community, the shared learning, and the connections that continue to grow and endure." Congratulations to Joyce Lewis on her Lifetime Certification!
Proud to announce that I just earned ASCM Lifetime Certification across #CPIM, #CSCP, #CLTD, and #CTSC… which means no more expiration dates or maintenance applications! My first CPIM certification back in 1993? That was to understand my job. My most recent CTSC certification in 2023? That was to better understand our world. Times have definitely changed. Even more meaningful than the certification knowledge (and the prized post-nominal initials!) are the relationships built along the way—the supply chain community, the shared learning, and the connections that continue to grow and endure. Grateful for my personal learning journey, and the incredible people who make this profession what it is. Shoutout to my peer mentors who challenged me along the way: Judy Bludworth, CPIM, CSCP, Michael Cole, CSCP-F, CPIM-F, CLTD-F, CTSC, DDPP, DDLP, Samer Al Madhoun FCIPS APICS Master Instructor CTSC,CSCP,CLTD,CPIM, and Jaclyn Jackson, M.Ed.

Mentorship isn’t just helpful – it’s essential. Nashay Naeve of Tsubaki Nakashima Co., Ltd explains how having mentors helped her make better decisions, build confidence and grow as a leader. If you’re building a career in supply chain, this is a reminder: find a mentor, and become one when you’re ready.

Short-term survival is colliding with long-term strategy. In Fortune, ASCM CEO Abe Eshkenazi explains why supply chain “war rooms” haven’t disbanded – and why they may no longer be temporary. With tariffs changing almost weekly, if not daily, and the Iran war extending an already volatile global environment, uncertainty has become continuous. The result: companies are building inventory buffers, adding redundancy, and scrambling for alternative vendors. Necessary moves – but, as Abe notes, not compatible with long-term strategies. Thanks to Geoff Colvin for highlighting how today’s commercial chaos is forcing supply chain leaders into impossible trade-offs: https://lnkd.in/eyA_sJNB
