Over the past month, #SteadfastDart26 has been focusing on achieving rapid deployment and interoperability across land, air, maritime, space, and cyber domains. Led by NATO Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFCBS), Steadfast Dart demonstrates how NATO translates plans, command structures, and multinational coordination into operational action in a rapidly evolving security environment. Last week, our NATO DIANA innovators had the opportunity to showcase their technologies to Steadfast Dart attendees in Germany. Meet the innovators who participated in the exercise's Innovation Expo: IS-Wireless: 5G/6G network adaptable for extreme environments Kelluu: Ultra-high-resolution aerial data through UAS Kinnami Software Corporation: Zero-trust data mesh for trusted, resilient data Wayren: Next-gen communications in challenging environments ORiS - Space: Wireless power transmission using high precision pointing lasers REVOBEAM: Innovative intelligent antennas for dependable and reliable wireless communication systems Arcani: Advanced machine learning with acoustic and RF sensing to accurately identify and classify surveillance triggers Vizgard: Platform-agnostic visual autonomy layer for defence and security Vig-Sec Drone S.L.: Dual-use airspace management platform for security, defence and emergency operations Big thanks to these innovators for showcasing how their solutions – tested and refined throughout the DIANA programme – are helping bridge innovation with operational needs.

Innovation and security go hand-in-hand.    As drone technology evolves, our approach to safety must do so too. The EU is launching a new Action Plan on drone security to protect our public spaces and critical infrastructure.    By bridging the gap between civilian innovation and military requirements, we are strengthening Europe’s technological sovereignty:     👉 Investing €400 million in drone and counter-drone technologies.  👉 Launching a Counter-Drone Centre of Excellence to test and certify new systems.  👉 Leveraging 5G networks for precise, real-time detection of unauthorised drones.  👉 Supporting the development of AI-powered control systems and new rapid response teams to increase security.     Here's what we’re doing ➡️ https://lnkd.in/ey8mMcU7

Last week, I had the honour of showcasing Arcani to Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, as part of the official opening of FORT Kraków, which hosts us under NATO DIANA. Given the geopolitical realities along Poland’s eastern border, defence and security are top of mind. Poland is now the third-largest defence spender in the EU, behind Germany and France, reflecting both strategic necessity and commitment to NATO. With a rapidly growing economy and a thriving technology ecosystem, we’re incredibly fortunate to be spending a lot of our time at the Krakow Technology Park. 🇬🇧 🤝 🇵🇱

🌐 The DIANA Kraków Opening Ceremony successfully culminated in the official launch of FORT Kraków, the NATO DIANA accelerator in Poland, and marked the conclusion of the first Innovators' Cluster within the 2026 Acceleration Programme. The event was held with the distinguished attendance of the Minister of Defence, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, and Michał Baranowski, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Development and Technology, underscoring the strategic importance of defence innovation and dual-use technologies for Poland and the NATO Alliance. The ceremony brought together key representatives of the NATO DIANA ecosystem, including Colonel Jan Strbik (NATO DIANA), General Marcin Górka (Ministry of National Defence), as well as representatives of the FORT Kraków accelerator: Bartosz Józefowski from the Krakowski Park Technologiczny | Krakow Technology Park and Izabela Albrycht from AGH University of Krakow. The composition and role of the participants highlight the strong cooperation between the government, NATO structures, academia and innovation support institutions. A central part of the event was the presentation of seven deep tech start-ups from the United States and Europe, selected for this year’s programme. These innovative companies are developing cutting-edge solutions in the areas of unmanned systems, autonomous platforms, and counter-drone technologies. Below, we present the innovators along with a brief description of their solutions: ➡️ Alpha Autonomy (Greece): low-altitude UAV swarm designed for real-time enemy target identification and camouflage breach. ➡️ AegisX (Sweden): mass-deployable squad radars for the detection and tracking of unmanned aerial vehicles. ➡️ Arcani (United Kingdom): acoustic detection mesh network enabling distributed sensing capabilities. ➡️ mara (United States): low-cost, autonomous, and portable counter-unmanned systems solution. ➡️ Picogrid (United States): interoperable detection and defeat (ID2) platform supporting integrated air defence. ➡️ Robotto.ai (Denmark): autonomous, vision-based, GPS-free, EW-resilient and combat-proven autonomy module. ➡️ Wave Sciences (United States): physics-based 3D acoustic detection, localization, and extraction of UxS threats in challenging environments. The event also featured Polish NATO DIANA alumni – REVOBEAM, Microamp, Resquant and IS-Wireless – who shared their experience of successfully scaling advanced technologies on international markets, demonstrating the long-term impact of the programme. The Opening Ceremony officially concluded an intensive week of collaboration, learning, leadership training, and mentoring sessions, bringing together innovators, experts, and partners from across the DIANA ecosystem. 🤝 We would like to thank all participants for their commitment, engagement, and active contribution throughout the past week.
