What does a human-centered approach to AI in education actually look like? In Episode 1 of the Eh I podcast, Eric Hudson, Education Facilitator and Strategic Advisor, shares a clear framework: ✔️ Augmentation over automation ✔️ Literacy over policy ✔️ Design over technology ✔️ Vision over decisions It’s a shift from reacting to AI… to designing for it. It’s a must-listen for educators and administrators working to navigate a rapidly evolving education landscape! 🎧 https://go.amp.ca/eh-i

  • Educators from coast-to-coast-to-coast are struggling to answer a very complex question - “how will AI change what we teach, and how we teach it?” To mark National #AILiteracyDay we’re excited to launch Eh I, a new Canadian podcast exploring precisely that. Made for educators, learners and parents and hosted by Ryan Oliver and Melissa S., the podcast brings together leaders in AI and education to explore what this shift means for classrooms, career paths, and the skills young people need. It’s Practical. It’s future-focused. It’s distinctly Canadian (and doesn’t take itself too seriously). 🎧 Episode 1 with Eric Hudson , Education Facilitator and Strategic Advisor, is live - Listen now: go.amp.ca/eh-i

  • Meet Mel, a STEAM Educator at Ampere's Kawartha Lakes Makerspace! 🌟 Mel runs STEAM School and helps organize field trips to the Makerspace within TLDSB. For Mel, her work goes beyond academics. She wants to be the kind of positive, encouraging presence that helps every learner find their footing. By designing creative, engaging activities, Mel works to meet learners where they are, because every child has their own way of discovering what they're great at. Curious about STEAM School and the Kawartha Lakes Makerspace? Book a trial day or bring your class out for a field trip to our Makerspace! 💙 Visit us at https://lnkd.in/e9teNCYY

Congratulations to Ampere Canada for being a finalist in the category "Employer of the Year". People love working at Ampere and it shows. Ampere works to remove barriers to students who live in a STEAM driven world. What is STEAM? It is a interdisciplinary approach to learning that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics to guide student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. It moves beyond traditional teaching by using these subjects as access points for hands-on, project-based learning, fostering innovation and creative problem-solving. Ampere breaks down barriers in rural, remote and Indigenous communities to make sure access to learning is achievable for all. Ampere partners with communities to co-design culturally-relevant, timely STEAM education and educator resources to support people as they realize their potential, and embrace their power. This takes a special kind of team and a very special kind of organization. We are proud and lucky to have them in our community. With a new facility and growing team, Ampere certainly ticks all the boxes for Employer of the Year.
