You're torn between stakeholders on local SEO strategies. How do you choose the best path forward?
Balancing differing stakeholder opinions on local SEO strategies can be tricky, but a clear path forward is achievable with the right approach. Consider these strategies to align your team:
- Assess data-driven insights: Use analytics to identify which strategies yield the most significant results for your business.
- Facilitate open dialogue: Encourage stakeholders to voice their concerns and preferences in a structured setting.
- Test and iterate: Implement small-scale A/B testing to demonstrate which approaches work best before full deployment.

Here is what I would do: - Summon the power of Zeus - Get him to strike down anyone who doesn’t agree with the strategy - Also ask him to verify GMB addresses using PO Boxes which only a god can do - Ask him to create map embedded links linked to each GMB - Laugh at my competitors misfortune as they do not have a god doing their local seo

Document and communicate: I keep detailed documentation of projects and regularly share them with stakeholders, inviting feedback to align our SEO vision. This transparency fosters trust and alignment. 3. Collaborative goal-setting: Each quarter, I present SEO goals and action plans to stakeholders, creating a shared understanding and securing support. Balancing stakeholder viewpoints is a skill every marketer should probably hone. I have to say, I’ve seen a lot of stakeholder disagreements on things, but not generally in Local SEO specifically :) But, when I’ve had stakeholders disagree, the first step is always effective communication and making sure everyone’s perspective is heard. So true listening and understanding is the first major goal. Then from there you can seek data to validate perspectives, bring in neutral third party experts, seek an effective compromise and finally figure out politically how a decision can be made.

My ideas: 1) Rock / Scissors / Paper. 2) Flip a coin. 3)Eeny, meeny, miny, moe. 4) Ouija Board. 5)Call Miss Cleo. That's it.

Navigating differing stakeholder opinions on local SEO strategies requires a data-driven and collaborative approach. Here's how I’d handle it: Assess local data: Analyze current local traffic, conversion rates, and competitor performance. This helps identify which strategies align best with business goals. Understand stakeholder goals: Engage each stakeholder to understand their priorities and concerns. Pilot test: Propose a pilot program or A/B test a few strategies. Measure results and adjust based on performance. Present findings: Use the data from the test to present a clear, objective recommendation that aligns with both business outcomes and stakeholder interests.
