I started my journey in pharmacy school, but construction always had my heart and I changed majors to Building Construction Management. I don't regret it. Growing up in Northwest Indiana, I was mesmerized every time I went to Chicago—watching massive buildings rise from the ground, built by teams working together toward something bigger than themselves. That sense of collaboration and creation always intrigued me. Almost 2 decades later, from managing large-scale $500 million projects to 50k smaller builds, and the work I do today, one thing remains true: no project succeeds without strong communication and teamwork.
