Ok, so I set clear ground rules at the start—questions at specific times. When someone actually interrupts anyway, I acknowledge them with a quick "thanks for your enthusiasm!" then pivot: "Let's circle back to that in the Q&A." For persistent folks, I basically offer to chat right after. Have backup slides ready... you can jump ahead if needed. Time buffers (like 5 minutes per section) sort of save you from the stress of running behind.

1. Plan a Q&A that will follow the talk 2. Address this Q&A during your opening so that the audience knows it will have the chance to ask 3. Use tools such as Slido to pool questions during your talk if necessary so that the audience doesn't forget them 4. If you are interrupted in some different way that isn't a question, keep it cool and address the situation if needed.

Unlike what you expect, interruptions are a good sign. If you address them well they don't have to derail your entire presentation or have to plan a Q&A. See an interruption as a sign of interest and attention. Mostly it is a question of something that comes next. My strategy: - Compliment for asking, and that the answer is coming in a couple of minutes. - When the same person ask another question, or if it's too complex or off-topic, offer to discuss it during a break or after the presentation. Use phrases like "I'll address that in the upcoming section" or "Let's circle back to that later" to maintain flow. In that way you're the conductor of this orchestra. Use a extra instrument to add some spice to the entire symphony.
