Use it to track our daily self-care activities, mood, energy levels, and gratitude, ensuring we stay mindful of our well-being, even during busy times. Use this journal to: 1.Record Daily Self-Care Activities 2.Track Energy and Mood 3.Set Weekly Self-Care Goals 4. Express Gratitude By maintaining a self-care journal, we'll develop a deeper understanding of our needs and foster a more intentional approach to well-being, which is especially valuable when working in demanding environments like the ER.

These moments of connection and relaxation resets the mind and body, fostering resilience in a high-stake environment. I often remind staff to prioritize rest and sleep, if tired before heading home. Creating such spaces isn’t just about comfort; it’s about acknowledging the human side of healthcare. When we invest in the well-being of our staff, we’re not only supporting them as individuals but also enhancing the quality of care they provide to patients.

I make sure that I plan my daily breaks and weekly breaks and I use combination of simple strategies: Breathwork, Journalling, spending time in Nature
