    fast wireless charging
This wireless charging pad is universal which means that it is compatible with Android phones as well as iPhones. It features unusually larger charging pad which means that I don't have to wiggle my phone on the charging pad trying to find the perfect position for the signal to start charging. The charger features 15W charging speed, when I connected my phone to charge I saw the sign stating that the fast charging is enabled. My phone had 40% of charge left and once I put it on the charging pad it was stating that full charge would take another hour and a half. When my phone was charged I noticed that the device is not overheating at all thanks to the chargers' dissipation and thermal protection systems. I am planning to use this charger as a bedside table charging station for my phone.

Pointless taking photos as there are enough reviews with pictures. This is just a heads up that this wireless charger works perfectly with the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra. I have the Cresee clear case on it as well, and no problem at all. Charges at the full 15 watts wireless speed as well.

This is the first wireless charger I've bought. Reason being the charging port on my ageing Pixel 6 Pro is worn and cables tend to just fall out.

But I digress. It works. It charges my phone, my Pixel Buds Pro, and my Sound core Space A40 earbuds (not all at once, mind).

So why three stars? I charge my phone overnight and the heat is concerning. It's not so hot that you can't touch it, but the level of heat being generated can't possibly be doing the battery or phone any good. It took my phone a good couple of minutes to return to normal temperature after removing it from the charger.

I probably wouldn't use this if my phone's charging port still worked reliably, and/or if my phone was newer.

Do they all get this hot? I expected wireless charging technology to generate heat to some level, but it was just much warmer than I expected.

      [Updated 16 July 2025]

Had to stop using this. It's making my phone so hot during the night when charging that it shuts down for safety. I'm not comfortable using it any more.

      Update: December ‘25

Was successfully able to get warranty exchange for a replacement wireless charger. After initially only being able to complete a submission on their website and waiting a long time with no update from them regarding the status or progress of my claim - (their initial automated confirmation of submission email asks you not to contact them as it may slow down the warranty claim) I emailed them (still not able to connect via the phone number as mentioned in my ‘November Update’ - see below) I did receive an apology email and a short time after that the replacement unit arrived.

Seems to be working fine and I have adjusted my reviews to 3star (initially 5 and then dropping to 1 because of the lack of being able to speak directly to the manufacturer - no working uk phone number etc)

Time will tell on how long this unit lasts and as mentioned before I only use this charger while I’m working at my desk - I would never trust any charger - wired or wireless to charge while I sleep.

While having a fast charger - like Apples own - is great when you need to leave quickly for a trip or commute - slow chargers, like the Belkin are better for your smartphone battery’s health. Again I set the limit for charging at 80% and try not to let it deplete past 40% before charging or topping up again - so far this has kept my phone which is just under 2 years old from having the battery deplete more than just 1% since it’s first use (and yes I do use my phone all the time to run apps and make phone and video calls) - so the low depletion is not from a lack of using the device.

Will update if I encounter any further problems but Belkin’s response has reinstated some of my faith back into the brand and I feel more confident in this product because they have shown confidence in it by honouring the warranty claim and acting quickly after being nudged.

My advice would be to the manufacturer to make it a more transparent process on the website for submitting a warranty claim ( I was within my 2 year claim period) and to ditch the uk contact number altogether if no one services this number / or you prefer to have customers submit claims / forms instead of reaching out to you by phone etc.

      Update: November ‘25

Still being unable to speak directly to someone at Belkin - I found their submitting a warranty claim section - which I have duly completed and sent back to them 4 working days ago- will update regarding any feedback I receive which their website states should happen within 3-5days of submitting a warranty claim.

Update: Initially impressed by the charger - however, we're just past the 1-year mark and the charger has failed (bought in Oct '24 - failed in Sept '25).

Despite being under warranty for 2 years - I am unable to reach the manufacturer - calling within office hours Mon-Fri no one picks up the phone - going via product support to the manufacturer via Amazon doesn't go anywhere.

It's worth saying that in the lead up to the charger failing, it was overheating quite badly. My phone's display said on 2 separate occasions that 'charging interupted because of overheating' and both my phone and the Belkin charger would be very hot to touch - so too was my solid wood desk where the charger sits.

I only use the wireless charger while I'm at my desk - I don't leave it on overnight etc. My phone is the same age as the charger - why I bought the charger in the first place, as my older iPhone was one where wireless charging was not a feature that was possible.

I'm very disappointed that I couldn't even get through to anyone at Belkin's side - the phone line shuts down and cuts you off after you have stayed on the line to be put through to an agent.

I have already tried using an alternative power supply to see if the cable or plug is faulty - but it appears to be the wireless charger itself.

I have read recently about a recall for 3 models of Belkin chargers, which were overheating / melting. This model didn't appear on that list but I feel it isn't safe and might need to be reviewed by Belkin.

I will provide a further update if I am ever successful in getting hold of the manufacturer. The item is still within the 2 year warranty having been purchased 13 months ago.

Original review after initially receiving and using the charger below:

      Cryptic title eh?

What I mean by you need to understand what you're buying is - this isn't a high-performance charger - it is slow and that's good in many ways. It protects the battery in your phone, the heat generated by wirelessly charging your phone as it lies on the wireless pad is kept to a minimum - (though they all get warm, some dangerously so).

The charger is likely sitting on your desk, bedside table etc while it does it's work. you can use your phone while it's in situ, maybe you need to answer a call while it's there on loudspeaker or through wireless headset/earbuds - thats all good.

It gives my type C usb a rest from being continually yanked about pushing in and pulling out a charging lead - which is a much bigger deal than it probably sounds. I have an awesome tech21 case for my iphone and while great there is a dust cover that sticks inside the usb c port to protect it.

It was getting to the stage where every time I had to charge using the lead manually - there was a lot of pressure from the dust port being propped open by the charging lead which would have loosened the USB C port and a major reason for buying the phone was so I could take advantage of plugging in extra accessories, SSD storage solutions and accessories for recording video etc. Not much good if this breaks.

If you're after a fast charging solution - then look eleswhere but be aware that as I mention above many alternative wireless charging pads can damage your phone from getting excessively hot or allowing too much current through to wirelessly charge.

For me I'm happy with the Belkin - its the lazy, keep my phone topped up during the day to 80% max that I have set in the phones battery management options. If it were do-or-die important then I would use the official lead and plug (20W) to charge the phone quickly.

      Hope this info helps :-)
