Help

We have developed and launched a new platform, Amazon Media on Demand (MOD), for customers to publish DVDs and CDs. Amazon Media on Demand offers many of the same great features as CreateSpace Disc on Demand along with new features and a platform geared toward customers like you.

Starting in July, you will be able to take advantage of the new Amazon Media on Demand experience. At that time, we will begin to move your CreateSpace Disc catalog to Amazon Media on Demand. Your titles will remain available for sale during this time and you can continue to create new titles on CreateSpace through August 2018.

To prepare for this move, we ask you to take the following actions in your CreateSpace account:

• Review your contact information and confirm that your email address is correct.
• Review your payment and banking information. If you are receiving payments by check, we recommend that you update your payment information for electronic payment (Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or wire transfer) if you’re able to receive payments in this manner.
• Complete and approve any CreateSpace DVD and CD titles slated for an August release by August 1, 2018.
• Place orders for any DVD and CD member orders or proofs in CreateSpace by August 1, 2018. After August 1, DVD and CD member orders and proofs will be unavailable through CreateSpace.

In August 2018, we’ll start automatically moving CreateSpace disc titles and accounts to MOD. On and after this date, you won’t be able to create new DVD or CD titles or update existing ones on CreateSpace. Once your titles have been moved, you will be able to create new titles and update existing ones on MOD.

MOD is a dedicated media site for content providers publishing CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs. Key differences from CreateSpace Disc on Demand are:

• Additional products and configurations: MOD offers Blu-ray publishing, multi-disc formats, and additional CD booklet pages
• Shortened publishing timelines: move from content submission to published in half the time
• Simplified title creation: easy-to-use site to input title information
• Enhanced catalog management: add single titles or multiple titles at once

If you would like to start using Amazon Media on Demand, please Contact Us . You'll need to log in with or create the Amazon account you would like to use for MOD. If you are moving your account from CreateSpace, please provide your CreateSpace e-mail address.

No. We will move your titles and associated account information automatically in the coming weeks and will notify you as this process completes so that you can log in and claim your MOD account. During this period, your titles will remain available for sale. Once your account has been moved to MOD, you will be able to access all of the titles you have created on CreateSpace in the MOD portal.

Yes, in most cases you can. However, Amazon Media on Demand (MOD) will not offer a Cover Creator tool similar to the tool on CreateSpace. We'll move your disc media files to your MOD Dashboard and print your title with the existing cover. To make changes to your cover, you'll need to upload a new PDF. For best results when creating your disc media cover, we recommend that you format it using one of our templates.

The title will transition to the same state in MOD in 'incomplete' status if additional information is required to publishing it or in ‘ready to publish’ status if everything has been provided. If you ordered a proof while on CreateSpace, you will receive your copy as scheduled. Changes, if needed, will need to made on MOD after the transition is complete.

Yes. We are not changing the printing process for discs.

We will be enabling self-service sample and owner orders in MOD later this year, however, they will not be available at this time. We encourage you to place owner orders on CreateSpace before August 1, 2018. We will notify you when owner orders are available on MOD.

Your royalty rate and payment cycle will be unaffected by the move to MOD and you will continue to receive royalty payments in the same method you do today on CreateSpace.

Once we’ve moved your CreateSpace titles to MOD, your sales will be tracked in your MOD sales and royalty reports. You can also access your historical CreateSpace report data in your MOD reports after the transition to MOD is complete. If you need access to your historical reporting during the transition period, we recommend you download it in August 2018.

Sales ranking will continue to be calculated and updated as normal for all CreateSpace titles during and after the transition to MOD. Learn more about sales ranking here.

Your titles will remain available for sale, you will continue to earn royalties and we will calculate your sales rank as normal; however, after the CreateSpace to MOD transition is complete, if you’d like to publish a new title or modify an existing one, you will need to log-in to MOD and claim your account.
