Uusi näppäinasettelu
Määritysten pohjalta on kokeiltavissa perustilan osalta ainakin kolme eri toteutusta:
- Näppäimistömäärityksen perustilan toteutus arviointikäyttöön Windows XP SP2 -ympäristössä on ladattavissa Microsoftin verkkosivuilta osoitteesta http://www.microsoft.fi/nappaimisto.
- Näppäimistön kokeiluversio linux-ympäristöön on ladattavissa osoitteesta http://kotoistus.tksoft.com/linux/.
- Windows XP- ja Windows 2000 -ympäristöihin on myös saatavissa aiemman määrittelyvaiheen kokeiluversio osoitteesta http://www.saunalahti.fi/znark/kbdfi-ni_v0.9.zip.
Näistä toteutuksista on erittäin tärkeää saada mahdollisimman kattavasti palautetta, jotta ohjelmistovalmistajat voivat tehdä perusteltuja tuotepäätöksiä. Hiljaisuutta ei tässä voi pitää tyytyväisyyden merkkinä, vaan sekin on syytä tuoda selvästi esiin. Palaute pyydetään lähettämään sähköpostilla osoitteella kotoistus (ät) csc.fi.
Status of the new Keyboard Layout
The current level of specifications are as follows:
The comments received on the drafts for the new Keyboard Specifications and mandatory Precompositions will lead to some clarifications to these. The Layout and the joint Engravings (defined as mandatory in the Swedish standard) are not affected.
There are at least three implementations of the basic mode available for trial:
- An evaluation version for use with Windows XP SP2 is available at the Microsoft download site at http://www.microsoft.fi/nappaimisto.
- A trial version for linux is available at http://kotoistus.tksoft.com/linux/.
- A trial version implementing an earlier version of the specifications is available for use with Windows XP and Windows 2000 at http://www.saunalahti.fi/znark/kbdfi-ni_v0.9.zip.
It is of utmost importance to get adequate feedback on these implementations, in order for the software developers to be able to make justified product decisions. Silence cannot be interpreted as an indication of satisfaction, which thus needs to be expressly stated as well as dissatisfaction. The feedback should be sent by e-mail to kotoistus (at) csc.fi.
