thanx in advance.
FOA dear Ze,
Congrats for the new release.
I just wanted to remind you of the latest situation we had talk about:
I am now able to go to dashboard on all 3 pages, and am able to edit pages in HAZ page and AZ_TR but not in AZ ! Strange. Hovering on the edit button shows the target as Global!
And, how to activate the RTL function in HAZ page?
And, I will not continue with AZ_TR, but will wait for AZB page to be set up.
Regards
You have the same profile on all 3 sites, could you try to clear cache & cookies, logout and try again? Also, HAZ is already RTL’ed (content in english obviously shows up LTR).
Now to AZB. Ethnologue lists no less than 3 scripting systems (!): arabic, cyrillic and latin. We can only use one. (or else we’ll need 3 separate language codes, which is not good)
I’ll take that RTL’ed HAZ back, something fishy is going on. Hold tight.
This is fixed
Hi Ze,
Thanks.
AZB will go with Arabic scripts as it is the official script used by South Azerbaijanis inside Iran. Latin is official for Republic of Azerbaijan (North Azerbaijan) and Cyrillic was only been used in N-Azerbaijan for short period and it is in no use now.
AZB is already been translated partially and is in use by some websites using the same script (Arabic style)
About RTL, will wait for your comment.
Regards
Above comment is mine. (20 Dec 2012 @ 4:29)
Hi Ze.
There isn’t any strings in bbPress 2.2.x at GlotPress. I translated the development version and inserted it into current version but many strings still in English.
I just publish a ticket before 3 days , They said It will be fixed in 2.3 version
http://bbpress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/2099
I hope your comment about translations loading order could fix the untranslated strings because I found more than 15 texts still in English. Thanks.
I’ve manually imported http://bbpress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/tags/2.2.2/languages/bbpress.pot into http://translate.wordpress.org/projects/bbpress/2.2.x., could you try again?
Thanks.
As per discussions during the summit, we’ll be doing a weekly chat around the issues raised and any others that pop up. I’ve proposed an agenda here, feel free to add to it on this P2 (not on updates, please).
As to the chat itself, I suggest Tuesdays, on #wordpress-polyglots on IRC, for those who want to be present. Given the spread in timezones however, we need to work out a time that works for everyone. Myself, I am on the GMT timezone and anything from 9:00 to 22:00 GMT is good.
On the topic about the global site, I’ve wrote my views after Jane’s comment agaisnt it.Anyone interested on it, please read it. I’ve already evolved those thoughts and I’d like to talk about it on our chat.
I’d like to add a topic about GlotPress development. Not sure if it’s the place to talk about it, if not, I’d like to talk to you, Zé, about it.
As to the chat I’m ok with Tuesdays, from 12:00 to 21:00 GMT.
I’m available to talk anytime, you know how to reach me
As to GlotPress, my opinion is that it is a separate discussion. I understand that we here are its most significant user base, but in the perspective of “global WordPress” it is no more than a tool, with its own blog, svn and trac.
I love the idea of global site. ^ ^
Being a translator for more than four years. I always be happy everytime when someone admire my work and said “thank you” to me.
So, when are we going to have our chat?
I suggest 20:00 GMT, on #wordpress-polyglots
perfect! I’ll be there.
Hello Zé,
I added the team leader Mr. Alim as Editor to ug.wordpress.org successfully. Thank you for you advice.
Now I request an SVN commit permission for him. WordPress.org username is: Alim Ahat.
Just to make sure, the username seems to be alim-ahat… Is “Alim Ahat” what he uses to login to WordPress.org?
I wondered, too. But his username is: Alim Ahat.
Done
Thank you very much.
Twenty twelve without language files?
Is it possible that the wp 3.5 is built without the localized files?
Nothing’s broken, read http://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/2012/12/11/wordpress-3-5-is-out-if-you-are-going/#comment-73391
It’s true Zé. I’d forgotten.
Thanks a lot!
Dear sir / Madam
how can i make or join Group here in polyglot forum?
You already did
WordPress 3.5 is out. If you are going to build your local version now, keep in mind that GlotPress doesn’t have a 3.5 project yet. You’ll need to build like so, to get your 3.5:
(i.e. your-repo-tags/3.5, Project Development (trunk), Release 23171, Version 3.5)
Oh, and pt_PT is out, too
That’s not fair you have inside information
I certainly did not; I followed #wordpress-dev on IRC, just like you could have and probably should.
sr_RS too.
th too.
fr_FR, reporting for duty.
ru_RU is done
hu_HU is out (and finally not as 3.6-alpha)
mk_MK is out. I REPEAT- mk_MK is out!
ta_LK is also out now.
Hi Zé,
Fernando has tried to create the es_ES localization, but he say he hasn’t the 3.5 tag.
What can we do?
Thank you
Do you meant the es repo tag? He needs to create that
ok, thank you Zé.
We’re working on it,
And there is no changes to dist files? Except for changing the version number in the readme file.
Yes, dist files are the same.
bs_BA is out too.
There isn’t a 3.5 tag for es_ES to build it
vía subversión Ze?
Zé, something weird is happening with pt_BR build, the theme files are coming inside the core languages files inside a directory named themes and the theme’s languages files are empty. could you help me please?
It’s intended behaviour; themes now have the option of storing their language files under /wp-content/languages, so that they don’t get wiped out on upgrading the theme. Twenty* themes do that now. See http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/18960 for more info.
Ok, I wasn’t aware of that. Ufs! Thought I did something wrong! I released and a friend noticed that.
ah, and pt_BR is out too. I’m toasting with cold beer, here, after a 34ºC hot day! Cheers, banzai, saúde! Long life WordPress!
de_DE is out too. Thanks to all peoples for this criminal like release event
ko_KR is out too.
Hi, After installation, Korean version has several links with English which is same as previous version. I don’t know why. When I replace the ko_KR.mo file from the GlotPress, it works. meaning it displays in Korean. Can you fix it, drssay? pls refer to my posting –>http://martian36.tistory.com/1100
fi is out
tl_PH is out too
Updating the PO files at this moment
hr is out
I’m having problems with embeding video from http://wordpress.org/news/2012/12/elvin/ in my post on hr.wordpress.org. Every time I insert video HTML code it embeds ‘Introducing VideoPress’ video instead.
Try using shortcode instead of html. Add “wpvideo jQDfEbzZ w=640″ with square brackets instead of quotes to your post. The result should be a WP 3.5 introduction video with width of 640 pixels.
Thank you Kenan, it worked
First release for Telugu (te) is done!
zh_TW is just out!!!
Can we get username ‘heinohund’ setup with approval access to the Danish translations of bbPress and BuddyPress?
Please and thank you!
Señor, validator permissions are given by the Danish team itself, not by us here. If heinohund needs that, he should visit http://da.wordpress.org/contact/ and ask them to add him as an Editor on http://da.wordpress.org/. That would give him validator permissions on GlotPress’ Danish locale (all projects)
Learning more about how this works every day.
Danke!
Aber bitte, nichts zu danken
There seems to be a problem with the translation or the counting of Twenty Twelve strigs es_ES.
Mark that 71 strings are translated and missing one string to translate http://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp/dev/twentytwelve, but if you browse to http://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp/dev/twentytwelve/es/default?filtersstatus=untranslated&sortby=priority&sorthow=desc not leave any string to translate.
Is this problem of counting or does not show the missing one?
Thank you
It’s a counting issue in GlotPress. We need to take a look at Milan’s patch (see below).
Upsss, thank you Zé
tohave are discussing.
