July 1, 2008 - Darth Vader. Yoda. Link. Spawn. What do these characters have in common? They all will have appeared in a Soulcalibur game by the time SC IV ships on July 29.
That's an eclectic bunch of misfits, to say the least. At this point, we've realized any pop culture characters are fair game, as long as they don't use guns. That was an intriguing thought, and we couldn't help but wonder what other characters we'd like to see in a Soulcalibur game. With few limitations, that list got very long, very fast.

You asked for 'em.
For the past few days we've been wading through these ideas to put together a new Reader's Choice feature. The following entries represent 10 of our favorites culled from a list of dozens. Don't like them? Leave your comments once more. Just remember who picked them this time.
Dante
Series: Devil May Cry

The star of Capcom's Devil May Cry series since 2001, Dante is the son of a mortal woman and a devil lieutenant who managed the not-so-easy task of conquering and imprisoning the Devil (Satan, Lucifer, Disney, he has many names…). With an origin like that (and frosted, metro hair) it is no surprise that Dante has some violent tendencies, which allay him and the aforementioned stabbing sticks very well to the Soulcalibur world.
And while the guns will have to remain in their holsters, we assume that, in addition to the swords, Dante's supernatural powers are also welcome in the arena.
