Now I understand why they were always so obsessed with their Guidebook! Jokes aside, I’ve spent some quality time diving deep into the Google AI Educator Series and earning my badges across Foundational Understanding, Pedagogical, and Administrative Applications. From the absolute basics of Gemini and NotebookLM to advanced pedagogical design, the whole map is finally checked off! No thick physical guidebook was required this time, just a lot of exciting hours of learning how to design, model, and assess using AI. Have you tried any of these modules yet? In any transformation, it's easy to get consumed by what's changing, what's being left behind, and what might not survive the shift. Steve Smith has spent 15+ years scaling technology and SaaS businesses across global markets, and this mindset has been at the core of how he leads through change. Not denial. Not blind optimism. A deliberate choice to anchor on opportunity over loss. It's a small shift in perspective. The impact on a team, a culture, and a business? Anything but small. New episode live now. There are some excellent AI staff training resources available at goo.gle/ges including slide decks, step by step instructions and video demos. Plus there are mini assessments that earn official badges! 🏅 These 'snackable' sessions could be delivered in person using the slides, or on demand using the online courses. I found this PDF library of resources a really helpful guide: https://lnkd.in/e-S9QQ98 My advice is to start with the three foundational courses (Intro to Gemini, Intro to NotebookLM and Intro to Vibe Coding) and then pick and choose from the rest...

Marcus Jacobs liked thisToday I was delighted to be part of the Google team who took part in an inspiring visit to Haileybury school in Hertfordshire. We met confident, happy learners and saw lessons which integrate technology and analogue learning tools beautifully. Thank you to Tom Wade, Director of Digital Innovation, and the Haileybury team. Teachers and senior leaders shared the huge amount of research, work and thought that underpins the school's philosophy of innovation. We visited expertly crafted, engaging lessons for year 9 and year 12. We enjoyed meetings with a panel of very impressive students to show us how they work with their teachers to leverage tools such as Gems and NotebookLM to organise and support their learning and to research their independent and co-curricular pursuits.Marcus Jacobs liked thisWe were incredibly honoured to welcome a prominent delegation from Google for Education, led by Ben Gomes, Google's Chief Technologist for Learning and Sustainability, to Haileybury today. Tom Wade, Director of Digital Innovation and Enterprise, kicked off the day by detailing our philosophy of using technology to enhance learning. We discussed our curriculum focus on practical AI literacy, enabling pupils from Year 9 (Removes) and upwards to utilise tools like Gemini and NotebookLM responsibly for academic research. The delegation also gained direct access to the pupil perspective through a focused AI discussion group and saw our blended learning model in action by observing Digital Innovations and other academic classes. The day concluded with high-level discussions with the Master and Director of Teaching and Learning during a productive roundtable. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase how we are shaping the future of learning, ensuring our pupils are prepared to engage with technology ethically and effectively.

Interesting night at Double Verify Impact yesterday. DV have long left being just a measurement platform, but seems to be positioning themselves as an all in Optimisation/Attribution platform, and even seem to be bringing AI to the private marketplace. The thing that still seemed missing to me though, as a proper Mobile Measurement partner. Over 70% of B2C sales are made on a smartphone in the MENA region, having that big of a slice of the pie being an "Integrated solution", or another partner, seems like an opportunity being left on the table.

Really looking forward to joining this panel of badass women on March 26th 🎉 Limitless in Tech is doing something really vital, by creating space in the industry for people who've been told they don't quite fit the mould. That mission resonates with me deeply. I'll be talking about my own experience as a neurodiverse woman in tech - what it's taught me about playing to my strengths, letting go of the pressure to work like everyone else, and how that journey has shaped the way I think about leading and building teams. Over the years, it's become very clear to me that the most capable, creative, and resilient teams I've been part of have been the ones where difference was genuinely valued, not just tolerated. I also can't wait to hear more from Kripa B and Nidhi Sharma who have really fascinating insights and personal stories to share. If you want to hear more about making tech a place where more people can truly thrive, come along. Details in the post below 👇 Thanks for the invite Matchtech!

Today’s my birthday 🎈 AND I just hit 15,000 followers (hello! 👋). Rather than a full re-intro, I thought I’d share my BEST career advice, that I come back to time and again. I call it the energy reflection — Not loving your job? Each week, keep track of the tasks that energize you ⚡️and those that deplete you 😩. Patterns emerge faster than you’d think. Over time, try to find jobs that allow you to do more of the energizing stuff. A great topic to discuss with a trusted manager or mentor! This exercise steered me from finance into marketing, where I found my groove doing work I love AND am good at 💫 …that’s when my career started to thrive 🌱 What’s one of your favorite pieces of career advice? Share in the comments ⤵️ so we can spread a little wisdom today! That’s my birthday wish 🎂

New research from Jay McBain and team highlighting just how transformative hyperscaler marketplaces have become. The acceleration from an $85B projection in 2028 to $163B by 2030 underscores the central role marketplaces play in shaping go-to-market strategies for AWS ISVs, SIs, and channel partners. The forecast that 59% of marketplace deals will include or be led by channel partners reinforces how our ISVs are using partners on Marketplace to scale their selling efforts - love this! Thanks Jay for the updated stats!!

I’ve been revisiting some of the popular statements about technology and automation from five years ago — and with #AI reshaping everything today, I can’t help but ask: are they still true? "This #collaboration between humans and machines is not about redundancy, but about amplifying strengths, employing unique human traits such as creativity, empathy, and critical thinking, while capitalizing on the computational power, speed, and precision of AI." What do you think? 🔔

I found a new podcast Founders, by David Senra that gives you the best way of having an apprenticeship with world-class founders , past and present. Learning from history is a form of leverage. I seriously recommend it to anyone looking to level up (thank you Spotify algorithm). Robert Greene talks about apprenticeship in his book Mastery —before you can create something original, you need to study the masters who came before you. Learn their patterns, their thinking, their mistakes. That's exactly what this podcast does. Each episode breaks down how a founder actually thought and worked I've been listening to this a lot over the past few weeks. Here are a few that stood out:` #350 - How to sell like Steve Jobs: One key message you're trying to hit home. That's it. I'm using this to rewrite how I sell ideas internally. Instead of explaining everything, I'm asking myself: what's the one thing I need them to believe? #357 - Haruki Murakami: Habits and consistency. Murakami runs every day for the same reasons I do—it structures everything else. This confirmed my approach to calendar blocking and designing the perfect day to do your best work. #400 - Jeff Bezos: Focus. And doubling down when something works. I've also listened to episodes on James Dyson, Rockefeller, and Rick Rubin. Each one gives me something I can action immediately If you're a looking to level up outside tactical work, this is how I'm doing it. https://lnkd.in/de5efP7N #Product #Founders #CareerGrowth #Leadership #Podcasts

Video content is everywhere yet millions of people are excluded when visuals carry information without accessible alternatives. TabAble’s Video Without Vision series challenges how we create and deliver video by focusing on inclusion from the first idea to final output. If organisations want to reach everyone they must treat accessible video as a strategic priority rather than a last-minute fix. This is the moment to rethink our assumptions and start conversations that lead to real change. https://buff.ly/EiMccSF #DigitalAccessibility #InclusiveDesign #A11y #VideoAccessibility #Leadership #AccessibilityMatters #UX

Really proud to share some amazing news about PubMatic's new partnership with NVIDIA to integrate accelerated computing directly into our platform, delivering up to 5x faster, smarter advertising decisions across the Open Internet. Utilising high end AI performance and driving tangible economic outcomes. For Publishers this means we're now achieving 85% fewer auction timeouts and recovering millions in revenue that was previously lost to latency. This instantly translates to higher monetization and better yield. For the Industry, by hitting ≈1 millisecond latency, we're providing the necessary infrastructure to ensure the open web remains a powerful, performant channel for premium brand dollars (especially in CTV). For Advertisers that microsecond precision drives more efficient, effective optimization, guaranteeing a stronger ROI by ensuring every decision is fuelled by real-time data. Proud to be part of the journey proving that the Open Internet is the most competitive, transparent, and scalable ecosystem for the future of digital advertising. The UK is at a crossroads... and so is the conversation around AI. There's no shortage of uncertainty right now. Headlines swing between AI utopia and AI apocalypse, and the people caught in the middle - the ones running charities, delivering public services, building communities - are left wondering what it all actually means for them. That's exactly why events like Anthropy matter. Next week I'll be at Anthropy UK '26 at the Eden Project in Cornwall, where over 2,000 leaders from across sectors will come together for three days to ask some fundamental questions about the kind of Britain we want to build over the next thirty years. Not in an echo chamber of tech evangelists, but alongside people from charities, government, education, healthcare, and business... the people who will feel the impact of these changes most. I'm going because I believe we're past the point of debating whether AI will transform how we live and work. It will. The real question is whether we shape that transformation or let it happen to us. And shaping it starts with understanding... listening to different perspectives, challenging assumptions, and being honest about both the opportunities and the risks. As someone who works at Salesforce, I see every day how technology can genuinely improve people's lives when it's applied with purpose - whether that's helping health services reach patients more effectively, enabling charities to do more with less, or giving organisations the tools to make better decisions faster. But none of that happens in isolation. It happens through conversation, collaboration, and a willingness to think beyond our own sector. That's what I'm looking forward to most at Anthropy - the chance to listen, learn, and explore how platforms like Salesforce can play a meaningful role in helping organisations navigate these uncertain times and deliver real outcomes for the people they serve. The future isn't something that happens to us. It's something we build together. See you in Cornwall. 🌱 #Anthropy26 #EdenProject #AI #Salesforce #Agentforce #BuildABetterBritain #Leadership

Welcome to Week 2 of our 'Your AI Chief of Staff' series! A huge thank you for all the great comments on Katharyn White and my kick-off post last week (in case you missed it, you can find the link to it in the comments section). It’s clear that everyone is looking for smarter ways to reclaim their focus. This week, we're showing what happens when you give your agent a mission, not just a command. After a long day of meetings, I didn't give my AI agent a list of rules. I gave it a goal: "Scan my inbox from the last 24 hours. Prioritize the top 3 emails that require my action, summarize them, and flag any deadlines. Take proactive actions such as scheduling time on my calendar, drafting emails or other measures to help get me started." The results were incredible precisely because I didn't tell it *exactly* what to do: 1. Project Zenith For a time-sensitive project launch, my Chief of Staff identified a looming deadline, blocked focused review time on my calendar, and automatically attached the specific Drive files I needed to that invite so I didn't have to go searching. 2. Board Presentation Instead of staring at a blank page for a Board report, my agent scanned my recent strategy notes and drafted the response for me—pre-populating the key growth pillars so I could jump straight into the final polish. 3. Aether Tech Meeting To handle a high-priority meeting request, my agent acted as a gatekeeper: it cross-referenced my calendar, identified the optimal 'golden window' that wouldn't disrupt my deep work, and sent a tentative placeholder to the partner to protect my time. 🚨 This is the difference between an assistant that follows instructions and one that takes initiative. See what true delegation looks like in the 15-second demo below. Use a similar prompt for your personal Gmail, drive and calendar, and see how your agent surprises you... What's the first task to delegate to your AI agent? #AIassistant #Delegation #FutureOfWork #Gemini #Productivity #ChiefofStaff
