Luke Wakefield shared thisThere's so much discussion at the moment around Figma to Code but we're also looking at it from the other end and trying to avoid having to build totally custom code and functionality every time (for smaller projects perhaps). Is it possible to split out the 'style' from the 'structure' without it feeling like just another vanilla Tailwind site with a few colour changes? Also how do you keep AI generated design on brief and not spend a whole load of time reworking the outcome? Skills are proving to be a very token efficient way of doing this and the founders of Flowbite have created https://www.typeui.sh which is an open source CLI tool plus a library of skills that help keep AI on brief. We've given it a spin and hooked it up with Flowbite and Siteglide Studio (Siteglide.com) to demonstrate an end-to-end process for designing and building production ready sites with out-of-the box functionality and content management built it. Zoltán Szőgyényi, great work on Typeui.sh, another great product alongside Flowbite. Here's a video that shows it in action, just comment if you'd like to see a longer guide showing the steps!

Luke Wakefield shared thisLuke Wakefield shared thisThere are more and more low-code or no-code tools available now which is great in many ways but there is code behind the scenes and the big question when it comes to websites/applications is: 'how good is the code it generates?' Many tools unfortunately have a huge effect on SEO scores and performance which can have a huge effect on conversions. We believe in UI based tools to speed up and simplify development but not at the cost of code quality. That's why SiteBuilder uses #designsystems such as #Flowbite to build out pages and sites. It's quick and easy but without editing the code. We also believe developers should still have full access to the code to customise it and build without limitations. We thought we'd give a shout out to our friends at https://flowbite.com who have built one of the best Design System tools for Figma. The best bit is they've also built the corresponding #tailwindcss components and blocks to make #developer handoff quick and easy. At Blink SEO, been talking a lot recently about how what we do isn’t really what most people would consider SEO or PPC anymore - instead it's something we've been referring to as "structural upgrades" for Shopify stores. Here’s what that means. When we take on a large catalogue Shopify store, we don’t start with content calendars or keyword plans. We start by getting under the hood - fixing taxonomy, rebuilding templates, and cleaning up filters and navigation. Over the years we've seen that this is the work that makes the real difference. If your attributes are messy or your collections don’t match how people actually shop, no amount of blogs or backlinks will fix it. So we get hands-on. We tidy the catalogue, rebuild the pages, and make the whole system work the way it should. It’s not flashy, but it’s the work that makes every channel - paid, organic, whatever - perform so much more effectively.

£1,500/month is the minimum you need to start seeing signs of life. Most SMEs underfund ads, then blame the channel. If your budget’s too low, CPL often goes up. You miss the best queries, the algorithm takes pot shots, and performance yo-yos. Episode 12 lands this week: how to find your Goldilocks zone and avoid scaling jail. Your website isn’t “just a website.” It’s your 24/7 sales rep. If it doesn’t grab attention, build trust, and drive enquiries… It’s dead weight. Strip out the fluff. Focus on the problem you solve, proof you can deliver, and one clear call-to-action. Because if your website isn’t selling, it’s just decoration. #leadgeneration #digitalmarketing #businessgrowth

If your website is getting traffic but not enquiries, it’s usually not a traffic problem—it’s a conversion problem. Most business websites miss a few simple things that make a big difference: First—clarity. When someone lands on your site, they should instantly know what you do, where you operate, and who it’s for. If they have to figure it out, they’ll leave. Second—trust. People don’t want to be the first to try you. Reviews, testimonials, and real examples remove that hesitation and make it easier to choose you. Third—direction. Too many websites give people options instead of guiding them. One clear next step—call, book, or enquire—converts far better. The good news? You don’t need more traffic to get more leads. You just need to make better use of the traffic you already have. Small changes here can completely change how your website performs.

Why might you want to consider adding a bespoke pricing calculator to your website? Pricing calculators can remove the burden of potential customers having to call and ask for a quote or arrange a visit. They can save you time and help to build trust, because customers realise that you’re being openly transparent, with nothing to hide. But there's more... ☑️ Benefit 1: Instant quotes Give potential customers instant, personalised quotes or estimates based on their selections, without them having to wait for a manual response. Then make it really easy for them to email the quote to themselves at the touch of a button! ☑️ Benefit 2: Instant quoting for your staff Give your team an accurate, quick and easy quoting calculator they can use on-site to provide instant accurate quotes based on your unique pricing model which is specific to your business. ☑️ Benefit 3: Turn visitors into qualified leads If your calculator allows the user to send the quote to their email address, that also makes it possible for you treat it as a qualified lead which you or your team can easily follow up on. ☑️ Benefit 4 - Differentiate and Stand Out A cost calculator can show that you’re customer-focused, and it helps you to stand out from your competitors who rely on static prices and hope that customers email or call to ask for a quote. The practical benefits? 🔹convenience 🔹speed 🔹accuracy 🔹personalisation and 🔹more converted customers! ☑️ Benefit 5: Upselling - Promoting other services Your calculator might be the first time a potential customer learns about other services you offer. ☑️ Benefit 6 - Big‑ticket prices? Make it easier to pay Some quote calculators can automatically display payment plans or split‑payment options based on the quote that they have generated. And there's more, so flick through the carousel to see for yourself, and try demo (see link and QR code on the list slide) #PricingCalculators #PricingTools #PriceTransparency #InteractiveWebsites #WebDesign #CostCalculators #CostEstimators #SalesTools #TargaCalc

You pay for a website every month. Hosting. Maintenance. Ads. But it doesn’t bring enquiries. That’s not a design problem. Most websites look good — they’re just not built to convert. What actually works? Clear messaging. One primary action. A defined user journey. A website should be a lead system, not a digital brochure. If you’re facing this issue, let me know in the comments. #websitedevelopment #wordpressdevelopment #globemarketo #reach #linkedinbussiness #businessgrowth

Full-Service Digital Agency for UK SMEs That Want Real Growth Here’s the thing. Most UK small and medium-sized businesses do not fail because of bad ideas. They fail because their digital setup is fragmented. One agency builds the website. Another handles SEO. Someone else runs ads. No strategy connects any of it. That is where a full-service digital agency for UK SMEs actually matters. At Habizen, we do not sell random services. We build connected digital systems designed to generate leads, enquiries, and long-term growth for UK businesses. A strong website without SEO will not bring traffic. SEO without conversion-focused design will not bring leads. Branding without consistency will not build trust. UK buyers are sharp. They research, compare, and decide quickly. Your digital presence must look credible, load fast, rank well, and guide visitors clearly toward action. What UK SMEs usually need is not more marketing. They need clarity, structure, and execution that works together. This is how Habizen operates: ✓ Strategy first, not guesswork ✓ Design built for UK audiences ✓ SEO focused on buyer-intent keywords ✓ Branding that makes your business look established ✓ Digital marketing that supports long-term growth If you are tired of juggling freelancers or agencies that do not communicate, a full-service digital partner changes everything. One strategy. One direction. One accountable agency. Habizen works with UK SMEs that want to grow properly, not randomly. If your business is ready for a digital setup that actually supports sales and enquiries, let’s talk. Book a free consultation and see what a connected digital system looks like. Your 'commercial doors' Google Ads campaign is mostly buying homeowner clicks. You just can't see it in the CPL. I've audited enough of these accounts to spot the pattern fast. A $35 blended CPL looks like a win. Then sales tells you half the leads are homeowners with broken springs. Negative keywords won't fix this. Performance Max logs every residential form fill as a conversion. Then Smart Bidding hunts harder for more homeowners just like them. You're paying Google to train against you. The rebuild I run: kill the catch-all campaign. Replace it with seven application-anchored campaigns built around spec language like UL 10C, ASTM E330, and CSI 08 33 23. Homeowners don't search that way. Facility managers do. One more lever. Push CRM-qualified leads back to Google as the real conversion via GCLID. A form fill is not a win. A spec-in lead is. It’s not just about your website. Your Google Business Profile should mirror your service pages. If you list “Bathroom Installations” on your website, make sure it appears in your profile too. Consistency builds trust with Google and reassures potential customers that they’re in the right place.

Most small businesses still treat their website as “marketing”. In reality, your website is a business system: it handles enquiries, trust, uptime and security. When it fails, the business feels it. Why gated cost calculators fail on websites. You see a website has a cost calculator and you think: "that's better than a pricing page". You use the cost calculator and then 'computer says no' and you can't get your pricing estimate until you've submitted your contact details to them. "Sod that!" you think - "I'm not going to get added to their sales list". The solution with website cost calculators is as simple as 1,2: 1. Show people the estimated pricing 2. They will respect that and contact you with their details Anyone got any thoughts/experience of website cost calculators, gated or fully prospect-friendly?

Website Maintenance: What is It? And Why Your Business Cannot Ignore It Your website is not a “set it and forget it” asset. It is a living, evolving part of your business, one that represents your brand, supports your sales process, and often serves as the first impression customers have of you. Yet many businesses invest heavily in building a website, only to neglect what comes after launch. That is where website maintenance comes in.

What is HTTPS and Why It’s Absolutely Crucial for Your Website In the sprawling universe of the internet, websites are the digital storefronts, forums, and portals through which billions of users interact every day. Every click, form submission, and login carries information, some trivial, some deeply personal. But how does that information travel safely across the web? How do you ensure that your users’ data isn’t intercepted by malicious actors lurking in the shadows of cyberspace? The answer lies in a technology so foundational that yet many website owners overlook it: HTTPS.

We've spent the last month auditing websites for independent business owners across the UK. Here's what we found: Out of 50 websites audited: 🔴 86% had at least one critical SEO issue 🔴 72% were loading in over 3 seconds (the threshold where you start losing visitors) 🔴 64% had no clear differentiation from competitors in their metadata 🔴 58% were not optimised for mobile (where 70%+ of their customers search) The owners running these businesses are good at what they do. A chef who has built a reputation over 12 years. An estate agent with 200+ successful sales. A clinic owner with 400+ five star reviews. Their websites were invisible. Not because they didn't care, but because nobody told them. So we built a free visibility audit for independent business owners in the UK. You'll get: · SEO score breakdown · Speed + performance analysis · Top keywords your competitors rank for that you don't · 3 high-impact fixes you can implement this week No sales pitch. No obligation. Just your data. So you can make better decisions.
