Cindy Etsell reacted on thisAccording to Warwick Business School the biggest challenges for business in 2026 is focused on AI and political uncertainty, which also reflects a lot of the conversations I am having too. But for me the real challenge is how leaders respond. AI might be one of the biggest disrupters this year, but this is more than just a tech conversation. For many leaders, the harder part is knowing how to lead people well through such huge change. · How do you talk about change without creating anxiety? · How do you bring people with you when not everyone is at the same stage? · How do you stay credible when you’re still working some of it out yourself? These are exactly the kinds of conversations I have with my clients. Because when the pace picks up, it’s easy to get stuck in overthinking, second-guessing or trying to look like you’ve got everything under control. That’s often where I help most - creating space for leaders to think clearly, communicate well and move forward with more confidence. What feels like the bigger challenge in your world right now - the change itself, or leading through it well?

Cindy Etsell shared this“I don’t feel heard” Is a common frustration I regularly hear from my clients. Not because they aren’t speaking. But because their message isn’t landing. They’re contributing in meetings, sharing ideas, influencing decisions, yet their voice doesn’t carry the weight it should. Being heard isn’t just about speaking up. It’s about communicating with clarity, confidence, and conviction so your message lands and influences others. Which is why I believe focused leadership workshops matter. They create the space to step back, reflect and strengthen how you show up -not just what you say, but how you say it, how you hold the room and how your voice is listened to. Because leadership isn’t just about having good ideas. It’s about making sure those ideas are heard, understood and acted on. If this resonates, you can explore more here: https://lnkd.in/eV_V5pSn Do you ever feel your message isn’t landing the way you intend - and what do you think gets in the way? #Leadership #ExecutiveCoaching #LeadershipDevelopment #LeadershipPresence #Influence

Cindy Etsell shared this1 in 10 menopausal women have left the workplace due to lack of support, while 52% of women consider leaving, due to the severity of their symptoms. In celebration of International Women’s Day, I felt privileged to facilitate a workshop on the impact this is having on the workplace, and how businesses are feeling the impact. This loss of female talent affects everything from culture and continuity to innovation and growth. My workshop explored what employers can do to better support women and create environments where they can stay, thrive and progress. If you’d like me to facilitate a workshop for your business, please get in touch. #MenopauseAtWork #SupportingWomenAtWork #FemaleTalentRetention #WorkplaceWellbeing #SupportingWorkingWomen

Cindy Etsell shared thisOne of the biggest leadership challenges I see isn’t capability. It’s articulating your worth. I work with many highly capable senior leaders who deliver exceptional results, yet when it comes to clearly communicating their impact, influencing key conversations, or confidently expressing their value, they hesitate. Not because they lack expertise. But because most of us were never taught how to articulate it. That’s why I believe workshops are so powerful. Workshops create space for leaders to step away from the pace of their roles and reflect on how they show up — how they communicate their ideas, express their value, and ensure their contributions are understood and acted on. In my workshops I focus on helping leaders: • Communicate ideas with clarity and impact • Express their value with confidence • Influence key conversations • Ensure their voice is heard Because leadership isn’t just about doing great work. It’s about being able to stand in your power and communicate that value with clarity and conviction. Do you find it easier to recognise the value in others than to articulate your own? https://lnkd.in/eUHUNYYn

Cindy Etsell shared thisThere’s a moment in every leadership journey where you realise that authority alone isn’t power. Early in my career, I thought leadership meant having the answers, staying composed at all times, and carrying the weight of responsibility quietly. But over time I’ve learned something different: the most effective leaders are the ones who Stand in their Power. Standing in your power isn’t about being the loudest voice in the room. It’s about clarity. It’s about knowing your values, trusting your judgement, and leading with intention rather than pressure. For senior leaders, the challenge is rarely capability. More often, it’s the invisible weight of expectation, responsibility and constant decision-making that can quietly pull you away from your centre. I specialise in working with Leaders, Senior Managers and Business Owners who are looking to: • Lead with confidence without carrying everything alone • Navigate complexity without losing clarity • Strengthen your leadership presence and influence I’ve shared more on this on my new website here: https://lnkd.in/eC3pkDSj If this resonates, I’d love to hear: what helps you stay grounded and confident in your leadership?

Cindy Etsell liked thisCindy Etsell liked thisI have recently let go of leading a coaching group that I formed in 2020. I noticed that for many months before the decision, something needed to shift and I couldn't work out what it was. So, I took it to coaching (as you can imagine a coach would do!) During that one hour session, things became so much clearer to me. I worked out why I was reticent to make a decision, (all the usuals such as not wanting to let people down and not wanting to go through a period of change), and I realised that the decision was clear. I didn't need support in working through the actions, these were obvious to me, however I did need support in the decision itself and what was holding me back. In essence it reminded me of the power of coaching. I have learnt that sometimes I hold on to things for too long, and in this situation, by letting go of how things are, I have now opened up a new discussion with this group about how we connect differently in the future, more aligned to what I need now and what they need too. What have you been holding onto which you would like to let go of? #Change #WorkplaceChange #WorkplaceCoaching

She is creative, talented and made the shoot so much fun. It can be hard to relax when having your photo taken but from the minute you meet she explains the process, identifies your needs, listens and makes sure the photos reinforce them in a unique way. We did my photos outside and I wanted them to be different, to match my personality which they did. When I saw the photos I was blown away. If you want to stand out and reflect your personality then get in touch with Brigitta. You won't be disappointed!’ Cindy Etsell Received with profound gratitude 🙌🏼 B/NUX #BrandingPhotographer

We also then began our partnership with The Felix Project, whose regular donations of rescued surplus food supply our kitchen with the ingredients to create varied, nutritious meals for our guests each day.

AI is Transforming L&D—But Not Its Core Mission There’s a lot of buzz about AI revolutionising Learning & Development. Tools are getting smarter, automation is making content creation easier, and data is more powerful than ever. But one thing hasn’t changed: our role as L&D professionals. AI can enhance how we deliver learning, but it doesn’t replace the real work of L&D: · Being a trusted advisor who helps organisations solve business challenges through learning and performance improvement. · Ensuring learning has impact—not just delivering information AI cannot: · Build relationships and influence leadership. · Understand the culture and business strategy of an organisation. · Drive change and ensure learning results in real-world performance improvement. Harvard Business Review (2024) notes that the best AI applications augment human expertise, not replace it. The takeaway? AI is an enabler, not a replacement. L&D professionals who embrace AI should still focus on driving real business impact. How are you using AI in L&D?

In our work we're seeing a lot of people and companies impacted by restructuring and cost cutting. What always makes the headlines are numbers. But in our experience, the best organisations use these moments to grow stronger together. For those leaving, how can companies support individuals with tailored coaching and outplacement that helps them approach their next step with purpose and confidence? For those staying, how do we strengthen trust, knowing that their organisation stands by its people, even in tough times? And for leaders, how can challenging times be turned into an opportunity to build resilience, reset focus and bring teams together around a shared future? Research in 2024 showed that employees with higher workplace resilience reported significantly greater engagement and job satisfaction. There was an important lesson in the research that resilience isn’t just surviving disruption, it’s creating the conditions to adapt, grow and keep culture alive. When pressure peaks, the organisations that thrive are the ones who turn cost pressure into an opportunity to strengthen capability, trust and culture. 👉 What opportunities can you see to turn a restructuring impact into an opportunity to build resilience, growth and unity? #FMCG #ResilientLeadership #PeopleAndCulture #RetailLeadership #EmployeeEngagement #OutplacementSupport #MindbeatCoaching Gallup CIPD AMY C. What will coaches need to embrace in the next 12 to 24 months in the era of AI? In my latest conversation on Ei Café with Azeem, Jazz Rasool shares thought-provoking insights that challenge the current paradigm of coaching. He highlights how coaching is beginning to move beyond traditional Western models, embracing local cultural contexts and diverse approaches. The industry is being democratized—and coaches who want to stay relevant must begin adapting now. At the heart of it all is Coaching 5.0: A future where human intelligence and artificial intelligence work together—not in opposition—to drive human flourishing. I'm delighted to share my latest episode of “Neuroscience of Coaching” on Mirasee FM, which features an engaging conversation with my colleague Caroline Leroux. Together, we explored how neuroscience can enhance coaching practices and lead to profound client transformations. 🔥 Key Takeaways from Our Conversation: *Compassion Over Compliance*: Caroline highlighted the immense value of coaching with compassion. Sustainable change comes from empathy and support rather than compelling compliance. *Understanding Brain Networks*: We discussed the importance of balancing critical brain networks, such as the task-positive network and the default mode network, for effective coaching sessions. This balance can unlock creativity and strategic thinking. *Addressing predictive brain patterns*: Ingrained predictive brain patterns often hinder clients' efforts to implement solutions. It's important to recognize and celebrate clients' efforts to seek change, as this acknowledgment can disrupt negative predictive patterns and encourage a new trajectory toward their goals. *Emotional State Matters*: We examined how high arousal and positive emotions are powerful motivators for change. By creating the right emotional atmosphere, we can help clients overcome habitual behaviours and encourage meaningful self-reflection. This episode is packed with actionable insights and practical strategies for coaches at every level. Discover how integrating neuroscience into coaching can elevate your practice and empower your clients. 📌 Ready to transform your coaching approach? Are personality tests holding us back? 🤔 We’ve relied on them for decades - MBTI, DISC, Insights - but are they really helping people grow, or just putting them in neat little boxes? It’s time to rethink how we understand potential at work.
