Prior to President Trump’s tariff announcement, fibre and digital were enormous areas of growth in esoteric ABS. And despite the disruption elsewhere, these asset classes will continue to gather momentum for the foreseeable future. In our recent webinar, one of our expert speakers, Anna Roginkin Senior Director at KBRA, shared her perspective on these trends. Anna said: 🎙️ “We saw a lot of fibre issuance [pre-April 2], and I think this will continue. The United States, if you compare its fibre to other developed nations, it pales in comparison. So, there's a lot of white space there, particularly because many different types of fibre providers can access the securitisation market. In our assessments, and conversations with third-party valuation agents, we’ve found that fibre is virtually future-proof, so I don't see a trend away from that. And from speaking to these third-party valuation experts, there's not another technology coming to overtake fibre. Even though, in our view, there's a fair share for other types of technology that provide internet, depending on how those technologies keep up with consumer needs. But I certainly don’t consider fibre issuance to be something that will abate in the near-term, not withstanding the macro environments.” Digital infrastructure is the focus of one of the most eagerly-anticipated panels at our upcoming Esoteric ABS Seminar. To discover how to take advantage of the opportunities surrounding fibre, data centres, AI trends, and more… 🗓️ Join us on Tuesday, May 13, in New York City 🔗 Simply follow the link in the comments to register. With so much uncertainty impacting the markets right now, this event provides an invaluable chance to have open conversations with the industry’s brightest minds. And it’s a completely confidential, closed-door environment, allowing for more in-depth discussions than other events can offer. You'll also hear from panels of leading experts and specialists in esoteric ABS. Other topics on the agenda include: 🟣 IP rights and royalties 🟣 Corporate solutions 🟣 Transportation 🟣 Energy ABS 🟣 And more. Our third-annual Esoteric ABS Seminar is set to be an excellent event. We’re excited to see you there! ⬇️ And if you've already registered to attend, please tag a peer or colleague you’d like to see at the event in the comments below.

Great to see Funding Circle UK continuing to deepen its presence in the ABS market with SBOLT 2025-1, a strong signal of its commitment to UK SMEs and a consistent, transparent funding strategy. The move follows a recently renewed forward flow arrangement that brings Bayview Asset Management’s total funding to over £1bn, supported by JP Morgan and Citibank, furthering Funding Circle’s long-term strategy to diversify funding sources and scale efficiently while staying balance sheet-light. As Dipesh Mehta puts it, investor familiarity and predictability remain central to the platform's securitisation approach, and the results speak for themselves. 📰 Selvaggia Cataldi highlights this milestone in SCI's latest coverage here: https://lnkd.in/ecQjvXpt #ABS #Securitisation #SMEs #FundingCircle #CapitalMarkets

Are #SRT securitisations about to explode 💥 in the Nordics? Maybe not but the tide is clearly turning! After the successful SRT deals with Nordea and DNB, securitisations are finally becoming a buzzword in the region. Great insights of Jonas Bäcklund as to why the Nordic region is so difficult to reveal its full securitisation potential. 🙏 Pleased to hear that European Investment Fund (EIF) and European Investment Bank (EIB) are seen as an essential anchor investor especially for opening up new markets and in turbulent times. Thank you, Frank Benhamou and Idar Fagereng!! Valuable analysis on the regulatory challenges in the Nordics and how investors navigate those stormy waters by Erik Welin, CFA and Jesper Skoglund, CFA, CAIA . Good job 👏 Thank you, Structured Credit Investor for setting up this forum in such a professional manner.

As global trade policy and market volatility continue to evolve, the impact on CLOs is subtle for now - but that may not last. Tim Ruxton at Alter Domus, spoke with our CLO editor Ramla Soni about why industry composition, not just macro headlines, is shaping CLO performance and manager behavior. 💡Ruxton highlights a “pause” in activity as CLO managers reassess pricing in sectors like pharma and autos, and remain cautious amid ambitious interest rate cut forecasts. 📉Meanwhile, Alter Domus is investing in tech-enabled, end-to-end CLO infrastructure to scale operations and support clients - especially new managers.
