China is redefining what 'climate disclosure' really means. The release of its first Climate Disclosure Standard (Trial) moves the conversation beyond high-level commitments and into measurable reporting, bringing China closer to global frameworks and introducing requirements companies can't afford to overlook. Expectations on governance, strategy, and data are rising fast, and companies will need to build capability ahead of regulation. Our latest article by Feiran (Blake) Zheng, Danran Chen, and Rebecca Luo breaks down what matters and how to respond. Making Sustainability Happen
About us
SLR is a committed partner in our clients’ sustainability journeys. We help them move from influence to impact, turning intent into purposeful, practical action that delivers real-world results. Guided by our philosophy of Rational Sustainability, we focus on what truly drives long-term value. By viewing decisions through the lenses of risk, reward, and resilience, we help clients act with confidence, balancing environmental and social responsibility with commercial and strategic success. Our purpose - Making Sustainability Happen - means delivering outcomes that are grounded in evidence, shaped by experience, and built to last. SLR has been advising clients for over 30 years at every point of their project life-cycle. Starting as a UK business, we now operate as a global company with more than 4,500 people delivering client solutions across six regions. We have grown both organically and through welcoming other like-minded businesses with a similar One Team culture into the SLR group. We are ably supported by our principal investor, Ares Management, and will continue to build a balanced, successful and growing business. We’ve designed working life at SLR to look a little different. Because we know talented people often feel restricted by the rigid systems, lack of cross-functional collaboration and limited options for growth on offer elsewhere. Our One Team culture promotes meaningful professional and personal growth, our flat management structure provides many opportunities to progress, and our collaborative approach means you’ll get the chance to work on projects you care about and make a real difference. If you’re purpose-driven, self-motivated and keen to make an impact on a global scale, we want to hear from you.

SLR is proud to support the 2025 AMI Campaign, in partnership with participating operators and EEMDL, as we work together to advance methane emissions monitoring and mitigation across the region.
We're proud to be part of the Appalachian Methane Initiative (AMI) and the release of its 2025 findings-one of the most comprehensive methane measurement efforts in the U.S. The results are clear: the Appalachian Basin continues to lead. -Lowest methane intensity of any major U.S. oil & gas basin (~0.52%) -Based on 17,000+ aerial measurements across nearly the entire basin -Data confirms where emissions are coming from-and how to reduce them further This work reflects a collaborative, science-based approach-bringing together operators, universities and independent experts to improve transparency and drive real progress. At EQT, we believe "zero is possible" and efforts like AMI are helping turn that ambition into measurable results. On International Women’s Day, we’re taking a clear look at our progress. According to our latest Sustainability Report, women make up 24% of our leadership roles (up from 13% five years ago), and 40% of our managers are women. These numbers reflect ongoing, deliberate efforts, not just one-off initiatives. Measuring representation at every level, tracking hiring, and promotions are all part of how we hold ourselves accountable. There’s more to achieve, and we’re committed to sharing our progress as we move towards equality - our 2025 data will be published later this year. We believe transparency matters. The work continues. #IWD2026 #MakingSustainabilityHappen #OneTeam
