What a fantastic few days at PTE World! It was a pleasure to exhibit alongside 35 British Aviation Group members at the BAG stand and meet so many industry partners and prospects 🤝 We engaged in insightful conversations and what stood out was the role of AI‑driven technologies, human‑centred innovations, and upgraded security measures in streamlining operations and futureproofing airport building and infrastructure design to optimise the passenger experience. We look forward to the opportunities ahead to support sustainable growth in aviation and reconnecting at next year’s PTE World in Amsterdam ✈️ Murray van der Poll, Geoff Dewick, Mark Lima, Shaun Rowberry, Angela Schembri, Asmi Desai, Dan Bentham #PTEWorld2026 #BritishAviationGroup #airports #aviation Tetra Tech Europe

Functionally Linked Land refers to areas outside designated sites – such as Special Protection Areas (SPA) – that are critical for the survival of the species using the land. While they're not formally protected, the loss of Functionally Linked Land can impact the integrity of designated sites themselves so they must be considered in Habitats Regulations Assessments. In our insights article, Martin Scott, Senior Director – Ornithology Lead, outlines why Functionally Linked Land matters to consenting, how bird species use it in practice, and key considerations for developers assessing impacts on SPA bird species. Yesterday’s World Water Day, was a moment to reflect on the vital role water plays in every part of life and the action needed to ensure safe, equitable access for all. This year’s theme, Water and Gender, highlights how water insecurity disproportionately affects women and girls around the world. Climate change and population growth are placing increasing pressure on water systems globally, raising an important question: how do we ensure clean, safe, reliable and affordable water for both current and future generations? For many of us, safe drinking water is as simple as turning on the tap. But globally, around 2.1 billion people still live without access to safely managed drinking water services*. Limited access to safe water and sanitation can have far-reaching impacts on health, education and economic opportunities particularly for women and girls. For more than 20 years, RPS has worked with clients across the water sector on projects that support sustainable water management and promote equitable access to water for communities. Our Chief Executive, Meegan Sullivan, was involved in delivering Sydney’s first Desalination Plant for Sydney Water, which now provides clean drinking water to more than 1.5 million people across Sydney, particularly in times of drought. Our General Manager, Fiona Thompson brings experience in senior leadership roles in the water sector. A key achievement was leading the development of a framework to embed customers’ views in decision making, particularly for those experiencing vulnerability. This work supported stronger, customer-focused regulatory submissions that balanced affordability with reliable water services. Megan Davis is our Environmental Manager based in Cairns. Megan has been appointed as Deputy Chair of the Wet Tropics Waterways (WTW) Committee which plays a pivotal role in improving the health of our waterways and the quality of water flowing to the Great Barrier Reef. Across the broader Tetra Tech group, our teams work around the world to improve access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene in growing cities and underserved communities. By partnering with governments, researchers and local organisations, we help strengthen water systems, support climate-resilient infrastructure and ensure solutions work for the people who rely on them most. This World Water Day, we recognise the importance of managing water sustainably and reducing inequality in access to this essential resource. We’re proud to contribute to projects that help ensure more communities have access to safe and reliable water. *Source: https://lnkd.in/dz6k9hjc #WorldWaterDay #WaterSecurity #Sustainability #Accessibility
