  • May was a big month for us at Procurement Pivots®. This month's episodes covered: 🎙️ EP 43: Speak to Be Seen: How Procurement Professionals Gain Influence 🎙️ EP 44: The Procurement Development Gap and How to Close It 🎙️ EP 45: The Uncomfortable Truth About Procurement Career Growth 🎙️ EP 46: The Most Important Question in Your Procurement Career Across the month, we explored topics including visibility, influence, confidence, career growth, development and positioning. Many of these themes come directly from the conversations we're having every week with procurement professionals and teams. We also recorded our biggest ever single week for podcast downloads, which was a lovely milestone to reach. Thank you to everyone who has listened, watched, shared an episode, commented on a post or recommended the podcast to someone else. We genuinely appreciate every one of you. If you'd like to follow future episodes, please subscribe to our YouTube channel below, or you can also find us on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. If you've tuned in during May, we'd love to hear from you. Which episode resonated most with you? Or what was your biggest takeaway from the month? Your feedback plays a huge part in shaping future episodes, so please do share your thoughts below 👇

  • We were asked recently how we choose the topics for each Procurement Pivots® episode. They come directly from the conversations we’re both having every week with procurement professionals. We support similar people in procurement, but often from very different angles. So it’s interesting how often we’ll both arrive at the same observations independently before we’ve even discussed the episode. Once we’ve chosen a topic, we both go away and think about it separately before coming back together to record. We rarely script the episodes heavily because we want the conversations to feel natural rather than rehearsed. Most of the time we’re simply bringing together the patterns, challenges and opportunities we’re both seeing across the profession. We’ve also recently started experimenting with slightly shorter episodes. So we’d genuinely love to hear from you: Do you prefer shorter episodes, longer deep dives… or a mix of both?

  • It’s always great to see where our Procurement Pivots® listeners are tuning in from around the world. Here’s our latest global picture from our audio downloads alone… and this doesn’t even include everyone watching on YouTube. Right now our top 3 countries for listeners are: UK USA Australia Honestly, it still feels quite surreal to see the podcast reaching procurement professionals across so many different locations. If you’ve been tuning in, we’d genuinely love to know… Where in the world are you listening from? Please drop us a quick “Hello from…” in the comments below

  • This week on Procurement Pivots® we are tackling one of the most important questions that a procurement professional needs to know the answer to at every stage of their career. "Tell me about yourself" This is not a question that you only prepare for interviews. It's your story, your ability to connect with others when you're building relationships across the organisation and it's what will give you confidence heading into any room. This week's newsletter offers an episode recap and exciting updates from behind the scenes of Donna and Laura's coaching businesses. Tune in for more!

  • “Career growth is really uncomfortable.” That was one of the big conversations in this week’s Procurement Pivots episode. Because we’re seeing so many procurement professionals who are ready for more… But are still keeping themselves where it feels safer. More familiar. More comfortable. And honestly, we understand why. > Visibility can feel uncomfortable. > Speaking up more can feel uncomfortable. > Trying something new can feel uncomfortable. But there’s a big difference between stretch and panic. This episode was really about exploring how you grow your confidence, influence and visibility in a way that feels achievable and sustainable, rather than throwing yourself straight into the fear zone. Because career growth rarely happens all at once. Often it starts with much smaller steps than people realise. 🎙️ EP 45: The Uncomfortable Truth About Procurement Career Growth Watch here: https://lnkd.in/e6xUBHaX Also available on Apple & Spotify. What’s one thing that feels slightly uncomfortable right now… but you know would help your growth if you leaned into it?

  • As the saying goes, great things never come from comfort zones. Yet often we can tell ourselves that we're not capable of achieving the goal we set our sights on. But what if we looked at it another way? This week's episode of Procurement Pivots® focuses on exactly that. Check out this week's newsletter, which offers an episode recap as well as some exciting updates from our own businesses!
