  • What if spending time in nature could help you get closer to the person you want to be? In this short clip from one of our recent webinars, our speaker explains how aligning your outdoor goals with your personal values is the key to making them stick. They also highlight how spending time outside can support what matters most to you - whether that’s maintaining your health, connecting with family, or being more creative. Watch the video below to discover more. https://lnkd.in/eKi5qcSk #MentalWellbeing #Mindfulness #Nature #LyraWellbeing

  • If you’re feeling overwhelmed by events in your life and want to try something different to ground yourself, it may be worth exploring Shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing. This Japanese practice encourages you to mindfully immerse yourself in nature - and research shows that it can lower stress, improve sleep, and lift your mood. How to try it today… 1 Find a green space that feels right to you, like a forest, nature reserve, or peaceful corner of your garden or local park. 2 Turn off your notifications and set your phone aside. 3 Slowly engage your senses, letting the sounds, smells, textures, and colours of nature envelop you. Whether you have 5 minutes or an hour, the only goal is to be fully present. #MentalWellbeing #Mindfulness #Nature #LyraWellbeing

  • Research shows that spending time outside can be good for our minds, reducing stress levels, increasing resilience, and improving self-esteem. But in the rush of our professional lives, we often take the natural world for granted. Next time you’re able to, try to head out into nature. Switch off notifications on your phone and notice the little things: naturally occurring patterns, local wildlife, or even just the sunlight on your face. If you find yourself becoming distracted, let this simple affirmation bring you back to the moment. #MentalWellbeing #Mindfulness #Nature #LyraWellbeing

  • Mental load is the “invisible” work that keeps life on track. It’s the constant background noise of scheduling, remembering, and troubleshooting - like keeping track of bills, planning meals for the week, or thinking about a project before anyone else gets involved. And because other people can’t see this work, it often goes unnoticed. If you’re feeling the weight of the invisible to-do list, here are five ways to reclaim your headspace: 1. Don't wait for burnout to hit before asking for help - instead, be specific about what’s weighing you down and the kind of support you need. 2. Write down every “hidden” task you handle. Seeing the sheer volume of your mental load on paper can be a powerful reality check - for you and for your team or family. 3. Delegate effectively - this means handing over full, end-to-end ownership of a project so you can mentally offload it entirely. 4. Commit to weekly check-ins with your family or team to review the week ahead, discuss logistics, and assign ownership of tasks. 5. Free up brain space by automating your bills, setting recurring orders, and using digital reminders. How do you manage the mental load in your professional or personal life? Let us know in the comments below. #MentalLoad #Leadership #WorkLifeBalance #BurnoutPrevention #LyraWellbeing

      +1
  • Mental load is the constant, invisible burden of managing every part of our lives. It’s the “thinking work” that happens behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly, from keeping track of deadlines, events, and appointments, to anticipating other people’s needs. And because this labor is often invisible, the people around us aren't always aware when the weight becomes too much to carry. Let’s remember to check in with one another and - just as importantly - reach out when we need help ourselves. #MentalLoad #EmotionalLabor #Support #WellnessWednesday #LyraWellbeing

  • Many of us take on more than we can handle from time to time. But when we make a habit of overstretching ourselves, we risk overwhelm and burnout. Accepting support isn't a sign of weakness - it’s how you protect your health, your peace, and your wellbeing. Why not take one thing off your plate today, and ask someone for a helping hand? Use this affirmation as a reminder that it’s OK to rely on the people around you. #MentalLoad #Wellbeing #MindfulMonday #LyraWellbeing

  • Self-sabotage isn't always obvious. Overcoming it requires conscious effort, patience, and practice to recognize it. Here are some tips to help break the pattern and work towards a more self-compassionate life. Practice mindfulness: Recognising self-sabotage begins with looking within to understand your triggers and notice unhelpful habits. Challenge your inner voice: Observe how you speak to yourself - would you speak to a friend in the same way? Name your activators: You may notice certain events or feelings that prompt you to self-sabotage. Naming these triggers and noticing the behavioural pattern can help to prevent this in the future . Reframe your ‘failures’: When we feel we haven’t performed as well as we wanted to, it’s easy to spiral into negative self-talk. Instead, view failure as a learning experience and identify what we can do differently for a better outcome. Set SMART goals: Setting specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time-based goals can assist with the feelings of overwhelm, fear and procrastination. Seek professional advice: Sometimes, deep-rooted experiences require a counselor's guidance for the core challenge and provide personalized advice. #SelfGrowth #SelfSabotage #Procrastination #Patience #SMARTGoals #LyraWellbeing

  • Ever find yourself putting off a project, waiting for that ‘perfect moment’? Only to end up rushing it at the last minute, because that ‘perfect moment’ never arrived? Or saying “yes” to every extra request that comes your way, then realizing you’ve left no time for your priorities? Self-sabotage can show up in subtle ways, such as procrastination, perfectionism, and even people-pleasing. And while these behaviors can impact career progression, personal growth, and job satisfaction, recognizing them is the first step toward overcoming them. #SelfGrowth #SelfSabotage #Procrastination #WellnessWednesday #LyraWellbeing
