  • We’re taking another big step forward in our digital journey. Kier has integrated Microsoft 365 Copilot into everyday working across the business - giving our people access to AI-powered tools that support productivity, collaboration and smarter decision-making across our projects. With thousands of colleagues now using Copilot and Teams Premium, we’re equipping our teams – both on site and in the office – with the tools they need to work more efficiently and stay connected. • This is what inclusive education looks like in practice 👇 This short film gives a real sense of what Pinn River School in Hillingdon is all about - and the difference spaces like this can make for children and young people with complex additional needs. Delivered by Kier Construction in partnership with the Department for Education for the Eden Academy Trust, the school has been designed for 180 pupils aged 4–19. But beyond the numbers, it’s about creating an environment where every pupil feels supported, understood and able to thrive. From specialist therapy spaces to adaptable lighting and life skills facilities, every detail has been shaped around how pupils learn, develop and build independence. Projects like this are a reminder that what we build has a lasting impact - not just on day one, but for years to come. Watch the full video - https://lnkd.in/eg3vsbDZ

  • Don’t say no, give it a go We closed out our time at #UKREiiF with a brilliant Next Generation Day - and what a way to finish the week. Our panel, featuring Sean Fenner and Rhianna Greenwood alongside industry partners, explored “squiggly careers”, the skills shaping the future of our industry and the huge breadth of opportunities available across construction and beyond. The energy carried straight into a lively speed mentoring session with students from Constructive Futures – connecting future talent with our leaders for honest conversations, advice and inspiration. A powerful reminder that attracting, supporting and investing in the next generation isn’t a ‘nice to have’ - it’s critical to the future of our industry. Three days, countless conversations – and a clear focus on what comes next. #UKREiiF

  • That’s a wrap on day 1 at UKREiiF and it’s been an eventful one. We kicked off with a walking tour of Leeds to raise funds for Action for Children as part of our Moving through May initiative – braving the weather, getting the steps in and learning more about what makes Leeds such a special city. Our first session was an interactive workshop from Kier Places' Jamie McKechnie exploring the future of social value delivery, focusing on Kier Places’ delivery of Heathrow Airport’s Quieter Neighbourhood Support Scheme. We heard from real residents on what social impact means to them and how we can deliver tangible benefits and a long-term legacy. Next up, Alex C. from Kier Property tackled the huge opportunity behind master planning the UK’s future through strategic regeneration. Our first afternoon session took an optimistic and forward-thinking look at the UK Infrastructure Strategy with insights from Sophie Timms, our Corporate Affairs Director, looking at what needs to be in place in terms of delivery and maintenance to unlock the £718bn pipeline. Finally, our COO Louisa Finlay considered the digital mindsets and skills needed to power up infrastructure delivery, showcasing some of the innovative digital tools we use on our projects every day to deliver value for money for our customers. Join us for another jam-packed day tomorrow; you’ll find us in the Yellow Zone on the Boulevard.
