Last night, our founder, editor and industry legend Rick Russell received the Fellowship Award at the British Arrows, and honestly it couldn’t be more deserved. Rick has shaped countless incredible projects and collaborated with so many of the industry’s greats. His creative achievements are matched by his unwavering support for generations of editors. He is, as many say, the editor’s editor. As the founder of Final Cut, Rick has built more than a company. He has created a home and a proving ground. A place where editors aren’t simply trained, but trusted, supported, encouraged and given the confidence to grow. A place where people find their voice, hone their craft, and discover that editing could be not just a career, but a calling. In an industry that moves fast and doesn’t always pause for breath, Rick has and always will be a constant. A champion of great work, a steady hand, and someone who makes the process, and the people, better. His legacy isn’t just in the work, but in the generations of editors still cutting, still curious, and still pushing for better. We feel incredibly lucky to be part of what he’s built. Huge congratulations, Rick. We couldn’t be prouder!

Last Thursday we were proud to be part of the British Arrows Art of Craft Festival, a day celebrating the people and processes behind great work. Our founder and Editor Rick Russell took to the stage alongside Franki Goodwin , Bill Smedley, Ellie Johnson and Eve Ashwell, sharing honest perspectives on the craft of editing and how agencies and Editors can work better together. A brilliant day was had by all. Big thanks to Lisa Lavender and the British Arrows team for a fantastic and insightful day.
