About us
"Can anyone recommend someone who.....?" Evolving HR provides the answer to this question for HR professionals the world over, regardless of how that question ends. Our goal is to save you a Google search, having to ask your network or just taking a chance on an individual or organisation you know nothing about. We meet with all of our providers before including them in the Directory and, whilst we can't vouch for their work, we can vouch for them as decent, passionate and collaborative humans. We launched in February 2024 and reached 1,200 subscribers within 3 months, so on 3rd June 24 we relaunched as an app. The app is completely free to use. We have over 100 providers in the Directory already and it's growing every month. In addition to the (searchable) Directory entries, we have a calendar of provider events, a deals and offers page and we also run free bi-weekly webinars for our app users. Evolving HR is the brainchild of Kirsty Baggs-Morgan, who realised from her own 20+ year HR career just how many new things land on the laps of HR professionals that you haven't dealt with before and that you don't always know where to find the expertise, support, development or community that you need.

Some client briefs are straightforward. This one is not. I'm currently working with a business doing something genuinely ambitious: building a purpose-driven organisation entirely from scratch. New entities, employees in countries where no entity yet exists, visa arrangements, global mobility... The kind of brief that requires you to hold a lot of moving parts at once, think several steps ahead, and know exactly who to call when you hit the edges of your own expertise. And I did hit one of those edges recently. One particular employee situation that needed a solution I was told wasn't possible. This is exactly why Kirsty Baggs-Morgan🌶 built Evolving HR™️ for precisely this reason. HR is too broad a profession for any one person to know everything. The best practitioners know that, and know being part of a network like this is important. This led me to Sam Barnes of Agility EOR, whose talk at the Evolving HR Conference had stuck with me (partly for the content, partly for the time machine in his slides 😅). Sam doesn't have an actual time machine (I checked) but he did have the expertise to untangle a genuinely complex cross-border employment challenge! If you're building something ambitious, surround yourself with people who've seen the edges of the map. 🗺️

🚨 IT'S LIVE 🚨 The Evolving HR™️Wellbeing Survey 2025 is officially open. Every year I hear the same things from HR professionals: exhausted, overwhelmed, juggling far too much and yet somehow still expected to smile sweetly and “keep things positive”. This will be the 3rd consecutive year I've done this survey and we've had over 400 respondents a year previously, so it would be REALLY NICE if things had actually changed this year (I am going to bet that they haven't, sadly) I want to collate the actual picture of what it’s like to work in HR right now and not the the glossy stuff we like to pretend is true. If you work in or adjacent to HR in any capacity, I need you to fill this in: https://lnkd.in/dNvPwW5J It takes a few minutes and it’s completely anonymous. My thinking is that the more of us who tell the truth, the harder it is for anyone to ignore. I’d really like a ridiculous number of responses this year. Not because I’m chasing vanity metrics, but because I’m sick of HR being the last to be asked how we are. So go on, before you get dragged into the next crisis, get it done. Open until 10th January, but please don’t leave it until the last minute. Let’s get a real picture of HR wellbeing this year and maybe, just maybe, try and do something about it?
