We're heading to Denver! 🎉    Cappfinity is thrilled to be attending NACE Conference 2026, and we can't wait to connect with the brightest minds in career services and talent acquisition in the US.     We're especially excited that Lindsey Pollak, who we've had the pleasure of working with in the past, will be taking the stage as a keynote speaker. It's going to be a fantastic session, don't miss it.    Co-CEO and Co-Founder, Nicky Garcea, and Trudy Steinfeld from our team will be on the ground so if you're going to be there, come find us, we'd love to talk about how we're helping organisations hire for potential, not just experience.    Drop a comment below or send us a message if you'd like to set up time to meet. See you there!     #NACE2026 #Cappfinity #EarlyTalent #TalentAcquisition #CareerServices #MakeTheBestTalentDecisions

  • The leaders who are succeeding today may not be the ones who succeed tomorrow. Future-readiness is one of the most important and most overlooked challenges in talent and leadership assessment, and it’s something we explore in our recent whitepaper.  Too many organisations are still assessing leaders against outdated models, reinforcing existing profiles rather than identifying the people who will drive long-term resilience and growth. True future-readiness means looking beyond current performance, understanding contribution across short, medium, and long-term horizons, and building a leadership model that reflects where your organisation is going, not just where it’s been.  Because when you get this right, you’re not just future proofing your leadership pipeline. You’re making better, more confident talent decisions at every level of your organisation.  Want to explore all 18 essentials? View the whitepaper here: https://lnkd.in/exUK2HfP

  • Across leaders assessed globally, the ability to drive results, manage risk, and maintain commercial focus consistently outranked other capabilities. As AI adoption has accelerated, risk management has shifted from a functional responsibility to a core leadership competency. The leaders who are navigating this well aren't just executing against goals, they're making better judgements about where to move fast, where to pause, and where the organisation is exposed. The gap between leaders who can sustain delivery and those who can't is rarely about capability in isolation. It's about the conditions around it and how competing pressures are managed, how risk is weighed against commercial intent, and how teams are kept aligned when the environment is anything but stable. Our Global Trends in Leadership Skills report explores what this looks like in practice, across industries and regions. Over the coming weeks we'll be unpacking the implications in more detail. • Knowing your people’s skills is one thing. Being able to see them clearly across an entire organisation is another.  In the clip below, Trudy Bateman, Director of Skills Discovery at Cappfinity, walks us through Skills Discovery Enterprise, and in particular, how skills mapping gives leaders a clear, organised view of capability across their workforce.  Skills Discovery Enterprise is a dashboard built around a simple idea: capability needs to be visible before it can be developed. It gives leaders a reliable view of up to 80 skills, with the tools to explore the data, track development over time, and turn insight into something people can actually act on. As you know, we’ve expanded our Skills Framework from 60 to 80 Skills, and the response has been fantastic! This week, we hosted two webinars walking our community through everything that’s new with Skills Discovery, and this was one of the moments that got people the most excited. In this clip, Dan Collinson walks us through the 20 brand new skills now available on the platform. Whether you’re an individual looking to understand your strengths, or an organisation looking to offer clients a deeper, more meaningful understanding of skills and employability, these additions open a whole new level of clarity and possibility.  Want to see everything that was covered? Watch the full webinar recording here: https://lnkd.in/ew-5fjKM

  • Yesterday, a few Cappfinity team members Gurpal Minhas CPsychol, Antonella Vaughan, and Reena Jamnadas attended the Institute of Student Employers Development Conference, and it gave us a lot to think about. One highlight of the day was the great presentation from Nick Shackleton-Jones founder of Shackleton Consulting. It was a real thought-provoking session that questioned assumptions and explored the emotional impact of why we do what we do across Early Careers Development. He shared fascinating insight from his experiences onboarding new graduates and challenged us to think more consciously about what we want them to feel, know and do. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and said hi! The conversation doesn't have to stop there. We would love to talk more about how we can help you make the best talent decisions. https://lnkd.in/eqmrSpYj #ISEConference2026 #EarlyTalent #StudentDevelopment #AI #LearningAndDevelopment #Cappfinity #FutureOfWork #MakeTheBestTalentDecisions

    • Three smiling professionals stand in front of a Cappfinity exhibition banner reading 'Emerging Talent Recruitment & Development in Context.' A display table in front holds branded reusable coffee cups and stacks of Cappfinity booklets/notebooks
    • A large conference ballroom set with round tables filled with seated attendees facing a presenter at the front. The room features decorative geometric pendant lights and tall windows along the side walls
    • A busy networking event in an elegant ballroom with ornate plasterwork ceilings and crystal chandeliers. Dozens of attendees mingle around exhibitor stands. A refreshment table with coffee urns sits in the centre of the room
  • Technical skills can be built. So why are we still letting academic background determine someone's future? Dominika Sadurek from Ipsos put it perfectly; when universities and employers work together with a shared understanding of skills, something shifts. People are free to study what they love, without it closing doors before they've even had a chance to open them. The answer isn't more rigid criteria. It's better insight. 10 core employability skills. Applicable to every student, regardless of sector.  Victoria Wade SFHEA highlighted the research done by University of London Careers Service which sought to discover the core skills employers look for, and it raises an important question. We already know what makes graduates employable, why isn’t every university building these skills into the student experience as standard? When students graduate with a clear understanding of their own skills, employers are better placed to identify the right people, faster. Less guesswork. Better talent decisions.  Curious about what this could look like in your organisation? We’d love to show you! • Some conversations stay with you. This week, Stephen Mueller and Viena Cao sat down at Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP)’s Annual Conference in New Orleans to explore a question that sits at the intersection of two of the biggest forces reshaping assessment design: neurodiversity and generative AI. It's a tension many of us are quietly grappling with. How do you build tools that are genuinely fair, not just technically accessible, for neurodiverse candidates? And how do you keep those same tools meaningful and secure when GenAI is changing what it means to respond authentically? Drawing on their own work at Cappfinity, they worked through what this looks like in practice, with situational judgement tests (SJTs) as the lens. Not just tweaking the format, but rethinking what we're actually trying to measure, and who we've been unintentionally leaving behind. The takeaway wasn't a perfect solution. It was something more useful: a clearer way of asking the right questions. To learn more: https://cappfinity.com/
