Investing in Excellence: Oliver McGowan Tier 1 Training Now Live Across Avante Care and Support We're delighted to announce that on 23rd October 2025, we launched our internal Oliver McGowan Tier 1 Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism across all 14 of our services with our qualified trainers Claire Cox, Toby Mansell-Cox and our lived experience contributors. This marks an important milestone in our commitment to delivering outstanding, person-centred care for the individuals we support. Named in memory of Oliver McGowan, this nationally recognised training ensures every member of our team has the foundational knowledge and understanding to provide compassionate, informed care for autistic people and those with learning disabilities. What our teams will gain: ✅ Deeper understanding of learning disabilities and autism ✅ Practical communication strategies ✅ Knowledge of legal frameworks and reasonable adjustments ✅ Insights from real lived experiences This training empowers our staff to make a meaningful difference every day, reinforcing our values and our dedication to inclusive, high-quality care. We're proud to be taking this step forward together.

Today, we pause to remember and honour all those who have served and sacrificed for our freedom. At Avante Care & Support, we are especially proud to celebrate the veterans who use our home care service or call our homes their own. Their courage, resilience, and stories of service continue to inspire us every day. Our teams, service users and residents have marked this important day with remembrance services, displays of poppies, and moments of reflection to ensure that the legacy of our heroes lives on. We thank our veterans and all those who have served, for their extraordinary contributions and the example they set for generations to come.
